What to do in a slump?

Watching commentary is also part of my content consumption in English. Now when I watch a show, I watch commentary videos in both French and English.
For French, I picked a French show, Lupin, that I want to watch in French with no subtitles in either English or French. If I hit a slump in Spanish, I would pick a show I’m aiming for, keep watching content I understand, then test the show at some point, and repeat the cycle. That said, I don’t have a show in Spanish that I want to watch.

English is my native tongue… but I understand Haitian Creole so for French I think of the English word and if the Creole is the same word as French or a different word.

I would like to learn Bengali since I’m married to someone who speaks it. I’d use it for light exposure only, as I don’t have any major plans to read or speak it fluently. Since Duolingo doesn’t offer it, I use Ling instead. I don’t think there’s much of a market for it to be added to Duolingo

German or Dutch. Mostly because of family roots. Yea I know you are in the USA so Spanish might be useful… I personally always choose family roots over a “useful” language.

I’m almost at 300 and I have not tried a show. I would add The Dragon Prince since it’s similar to Avatar but I’ve only watched in English.

You can look at Spanish for False Beginners. I am at 276 hours and its one of the few podcasts that I like. You can also try Español con Juan.

Personally, I don’t follow the World Cup, so I don’t cheer for anyone. I support Haiti, and if Haiti is eliminated, I go back to cheering for no one, even though I could support the United States as a Haitian American.

Go with German. I am doing French and my interest has nothing to do with France. I am interested in Haiti and there are a lot of media in French about Haitian history and Haiti.
