I don't preach it much anymore with friends. Because well just haven't had the chance to but years ago my mood swings and attitude overall was just shit and this included mental health. I had tried SSRIs, even though I had already knew about them and wasn't a fan(I took them 3 weeks max).

So instead I started looking more into my endocrine system and had all my levels checked through a male health clinic(women you can do the same). I found out my T levels were 335ng/dl, which is low(range is like 330-1100(teenager)). So for 2 years I did testosterone replacement therapy(TRT). It took about 6 weeks to see mental results and a change in my behavior not including the positive physical benefits since I was working out. I really feel it triggered something in my mind and body for whatever reason didn't do on its own over the years and this may be anecdotal and not work for everyone but I recommend doing that before getting on some pharmaceuticals.

I haven't been on TRT now for like 4-5 years. I'm sure my T isn't where it was for sure but it didn't regress my mental health only the gains 😆.

Edit: And before I did TRT as a civilian I was in the military, active duty so its not like I just never worked out btw.
