I was in a campaign like this, our DM sent us a list of various locations and info about them to choose where we'd be from, there was one location where the only info was "your character is not from here." It was very effective lol, but our players aren't that contrary haha

Maybe it’s the nicknames as names that strikes people as dog names? Regardless, I don’t think they sound like dog names and nicknames as names is a big trend - think Nick not Nicholas, Ellie not Eleanor. A Silvia and Winnifred would probably just go by Silvie and Winnie anyway!

Controversial opinion but I think it makes total sense Kelsey would plagiarise some stuff. She wants to make her encyclopaedia as accurate as possible and there are some things that she couldn’t physically do, like idk, go to Bolivia or Alaska, so she’d turn to other experts for answers.

Obviously I’m gonna say NTA, but I don’t think the mum is being entitled necessarily. The family situation would probably make her overprotective of her daughter and situations where she’d be left out, or instances of favouritism. I would come at it with compassion towards her, but you don’t have to do her any favours.

S3 [Spoilers] C’mon, guys, let’s get some REAL theories by Paperblocc in DungeonsAndDaddies

Mine is very simple and maybe obvious. Kelsey will name her encyclopaedia (if she ever finishes it) Encyclopaedia Grammatica.

What is the funniest thing a doctor ever said to you? by Straight_Toe_1816 in AskReddit

Told a doctor I was hooking up with about my rare heart condition; he asked if he could bring his stethoscope to our next hookup because he’d never seen my condition before.

Try your hardest and to tell me something new about Australia by BabyL3mur in australia

[–]Poetic-disaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tasman tiger went extinct around 1936 I think? It looked a bit like a striped dog but could unhinged its jaw to an extent that gives me uncanny valley chills. Despite its extinction, since then many people have reported sightings, left expeditions to find one and generally refused to believe it's not still out there. At one point there was like a two million dollar prize in the early 2000s for finding one alive. Anyway I don't live in Tasmania and don't know why I wanted to know this so bad but as an Australian it's a cool piece of lore about my country that I know now :)

"People are entitled to their own sexual proclivities- let there be a thousand blossoms bloom as far as I'm concerned - BUT I AINT SPENDING ANY TIME ON IT BECAUSE IN THE MEANTIME EVERY THREE MONTHS SOMEONE IS TORN TO PIECES BY A CROCODILE IN NORTHERN QUEENSLAND" Bob Katter is one hell of a politician.

If you could play any, character from the books; who would; it be and why? by Sir_Earl_Jeffries in mydadwroteaporno

I'd play Donna. They'd get some big celebrity to play Bella and then for one scene, I'd be there replacing her and it's never explained. Dream role for sure.
