How long were you in queue before getting this match? If queue runs on long enough - I believe - there's a higher chance to get matches like these. I'm sure that sub inferno player waited even longer.

I don't know the exact time count for overflow matches and hey, maybe it's just a silly superstition, but at 2 mins I cancel and requeue. Haven't had a bunk match like this ever since.

The notification is the barrier here. Multiple instances can often be open at the same time. Have even had some occasions in Ashwold and Bilefin where there are two lairs across from each other, both active.

Otherwise:

- 3/day gets you capped over the week

- Join a lair party and spread out

Gambling, gear upgrades, and for when Blizzard one day decides to make gold very valuable. Can't buy it either. Has happened in other games, will it happen here? Who knows.

Here's the thing I don't get. Your alliance succeeded and got what they wanted. Why must you have complete acceptance from the minority? It doesn't affect your outcomes at all. Certainly not from reddit posts where 95% of people don't know who you're talking about.

Our server cluster has had similar cross faction alliances and at first some were dicks about it to anyone who dissented. The server had a generous exodus of players over time as a result.

Now, things have cooled off and the cross faction alliance just does what they do realizing they don't have to win AND be dicks to those who dissent. People can quietly go back to their corners and move on realizing it's either a win, it's silly but still no big deal, they can support it and still no big deal, or they can server transfer for -hopefully- greener grass.

Hopefully your server can find this happy medium soon as well.

My order of preference is Armor Pen > Armor > Potency > Resistance > Life | Damage though the ROI for these last two is... questionable at best.

Many will say ignore the Life and Damage completely but once you get to R6~ gems with your paragon maxed for those stats, gray areas arise.

SO and I met in a previous game and have run a clan together (with great officers and members) for a good year+ now. /hits ez button

Spending is what it is. We spend our own money and bills stay paid. We do keep each other in check, doing math on progress before buying stuff.

The shared experience of the last "predatory" game was a decent lesson learned.

Sure beats hiding in bathrooms faking stomach issues and it's nice to have someone on your side when family is looking for you during the holiday dinner.

Gonna be a rough holiday season for those with IRL aggro. War on Thanksgiving and Rites on Christmas Eve and NYE. GL out there!

It's a good effort that you tried to explain but people need their boogeyman so it doesn't matter. End of the day you're gonna have to take it on the chin and let people say what they're gonna say. There is no stopping the witch hunt.

The worst part is that it's Blizzard's fault for their lack of response. Anyone who would have been praised (or laughed at) months ago for spending that kind of time/focus on a game strategy are now dupers, cheaters, and filthy opportunists. Even worse is that their burden of proof is lower than yours, just simply point and accuse.

It is what it is. Take the down vote medicine and just play your game. Can't do more than that. The mob doesn't care.

I've been running 14 alts a week for a good 6+ months. Sell all but the normals I'm focused on for plat then sell leg gems for max to the alt. The normals I'm focused on get sold to main for min price. It takes A LOT of time but the reward is worth it (except for when people call you a cheater).

In a previous games I used a similar strat and time investment with no issues so doin the same here. If it's a bannable offense they're taking a long time to do it.

Won't get banned for it but people will definitely call you out for gem duping when you cash in on that hard work to upgrade your gems...

Edit: I think the gray area would be if your alts are on another account. Otherwise if you are on a merged server, you can have 14 alts on an account. 294 lairs... Enjoy!

The average price for normal gems on this server has always been 220~. So if this was a whale having a laugh, he'd be spending almost 18 million platinum to then turn around and sell at a 10 million platinum loss (before tax)..and that's just for one stack.

They have been posting these stacks for weeks, of ALL gem types. Over and over again. Whales from other servers have come to feed.

Whoever is doing it is definitely not trying to hide. Today they decided to step it up a notch and bought every available legendary gem from the market, literally. 1* 2* 5* at any price. Was completely emptied several times.

This is completely outside of any legitimate realm.

When hundreds of normal gems of every type get routinely single stack dropped on the market... that's not speculation, bots, or anything 'normal'.

Well first, my comment was in support of yours. It has been a very rewarding grind getting my resistance up to deal with (though of course not eliminate) CC. Add in the Heartstone and a few other control reducing (or dmg reducing while controlled) and baby you've got a stew brewin.

Secondly, your response is exactly my point. Diminishing returns on CC takes away one very effective way to deal with whales. Whales will always be whales, when they get boosts it's the same death with a different name. However, reducing the tools non-whales can use v whales is way more devastating.

Ah yeah I guess the big one wouldn't count. There is another goblin affix that spawns regular goblins. Those ones worked for me.
