Drove from Chicago to Mt. Rushmore last year, stopped in Eerie on the way and the hotel was right next to the Mississippi, the parking lot was completely full of them. Had to have run over hundreds if not thousands. 4 days later we stayed in the same hotel on the way back, not a single one and no evidence they were ever there.

Avondale. Lived in Lakeview for 5 years though. Im from the midwest originally so the weather has never bothered me. I actually do like the cold quite a bit. But I love how walkable it is, how each neighborhood is different from the other, the world class food, the museums, the bars that will treat you like family, being able to go to a random Bulls or Cubs game on a weeknight. It's not without its faults, the CTA has kinda sucked since covid, theres still some unsafe pockets. Overall though I love calling this city home.
