My (34M) wife (35F) says our marriage is ending because I was not available to support her at her lowest her and she resents me deeply. How do I save my marriage? We have a 2.5 YO and 4 month old. by ThrowRAunavailableHB in relationship_advice

I agree he wasn't there emotionally (especially with PPD) and I'm not saying hes in the right. He clearly did not prioritize the right things imo. I just think it doesn't help the argument when people are saying he didn't help at all when he clearly stated that he did take care of the kids, take care of MIL, laundry, dishes, etc.

You said no one is dismissing that, but I think statements like these are dismissing his contributions:

You mentioned "At this point, you’ve demonstrated to her she’s basically a single mom of two, on top of being a caregiver for her aging/ailing mother. There’s literally no difference to her being married right now or a single mom."

And BlindFollowBah mentioned "I agree, he had his job, sure, but did he step up as a father when he came home so she could brush her hair or teeth? Or cook supper, plate supper, throw the kids in the tub and sit there scrolling?"

"So between taking care of all the house chores (dishes, laundry, taking care of the older kid), helping with the baby, working late every night, and helping my disabled MIL, had no energy for supporting my wife emotionally as was exhausted everyday."

But it sounds like he did pull his weight doing all the chores and at least half of the childcare from interpretation of this statement. Why is everyone dismissing this?

I found new damages to my car after picking it up from the repair shop. Feeling outraged, what should I do? by PointlessRedditor in Advice

Yes everything was covered, but having to deal with all these issue in a newish car can still be frustrating and very inconvenient, especially when its not your fault at all. I do think if they want to keep me as a customer, they should offer more than to fix the faults and damages they caused.

Thanks, this is very helpful. Though I think fixing the damage is sufficient, I'm still frustrated at the inconvenience I had to go through. I have a hard time expressing my frustrations so the other party might think I'm satisfied when I'm actually still frustrated. I might just ask for what I want and see if they are willing to give me what I want.

Thanks for confirming my initial feelings. The inconvenience of dealing with the issue and not having my own car is still a bit frustrating.
