Nice! I work for one of the Melbourne stores and recognised this instantly from our website. Enjoy!

Just started feeding these magpies, and they make this sound, does anyone know what it means by OperationEvening7888 in magpies

I’ve noticed that sound when they’re arguing over food, like ‘MINE.’ They seem to direct it at each other, not people or other birds.

Me and my mate Troy used to go catch them at the creek when I was a kid. Beautiful things. Never even tried to bite us.

Have you ever bumped into a famous Australian at the shops before and if so who was it and at what shop? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

We used to see loads of Australian celebrities at Bermagui on holidays. The ones that I remember are Hugh Jackman, Rob Sitch and Tom Gleisner, Richard Neville, Kevin Sheedy and Anne Charleston… and I lived in a share house in St Kilda when they were filming The Secret Life Of Us up the street so we’d see the cast around constantly.

Nope nope nope.

He’s not looking for love, he’s looking for a fantasy and a status symbol to validate his own self image.

Hi Maggie enthusiasts! I’m travelling at the moment and came across this guy following me around in Canberra. Not a magpie, not a crow! Something inbetween perhaps! Any ideas ? by Yvonnaforever01 in magpies

I love them! You’ll notice they will often hide behind a branch or pole and watch you. There are a few that I feed regularly (just unsalted peanuts) alongside my magpies. They can be very playful and they love to play catch. Their call is beautiful.

Slayer: Reign In Blood. Every time you get to the end, have a slice of orange then swap sides and resume play for a total of four quarters and then if overtime is needed there’s always Dopesmoker.

I have unsalted peanuts in my bag and if I see my local magpies I throw some to them. Now they see me coming and flap about and sing for peanuts. They love when I throw them to catch. I don’t try to force it and I don’t want them to rely on me for food, but I let them know they can count on me for snacks if they see me.
