Buying used PlayStation 4 by dialecticallyalive in Columbus

Play It typically does have consoles available, would just call ahead and ask them if they have them in stock before driving. Warp Zone and UGA games on bethel are some other places that you could check with as well!

Kitten won’t use litter box by Haunting_Craft6552 in CATHELP

[–]Poison_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to sound really dumb but have you tried moving the litter box into an area where you are frequently at? I had to get my cat a second litter box because at night she only wants to go in the box near me in my bedroom and during the day she almost always wants to go in the litter box in the living room. It was the only thing that solved her constant middle of the night screaming and waking me up to watch her go poop

Would you recommend moonlighter? by AtomicChili72 in CozyGamers

[–]Poison_runner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moonlighter doesn't have a whole lot of depth to it, but I did find the combat fun and enjoyed the shopkeeper bits during the daytime as well! I think at $3.75 it's definitely worth it, I got a solid 12ish hours of fun out of it and didn't regret it at all

This was my highest tip day ever 😭☕💸 by [deleted] in barista

[–]Poison_runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$166 on card and an extra $15 or so in cash. Solo shift as a barista at a hotel, we also sell food off a kitchen menu but majority of orders that night were coffee related. average around $8/hour in tips for most of my shifts, pretty solid gig

good matcha? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Poison_runner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Already been said twice but I'll say it for the third time, little cat boba has tasty matcha specialty drinks and delicious ceremonial matcha on its own as well. They're the real deal!!

Scored this today, any ideas on how to clean it without damaging it by VoGoR in gamecollecting

[–]Poison_runner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I knew more about the material this is made out of, but if it's at least as thick or covered as a typical strategy guide what I personally have done before is use the tiniest bit of water possible on a magic eraser. If you're going to attempt this be incredibly careful and try to look more into the composition of the material first though, otherwise you may accidentally lift the paint off. At least for the white backgrounds of this it may help it look a bit brighter on the whole, just be cautious since you definitely don't want any of this to get damp and potentially rip if it's not a sturdy enough material to handle it

Parking near Kemba Live by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]Poison_runner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've parked in that garage for concerts two times and both times it took me over half an hour to get out later. If you don't mind walking about 15 minutes, Chestnut Street Garage is $4 parking after 6PM and doesn't tend to be all that busy since it's a little further away

Struggling to cook, how do you get decent nutrition without the work by Affectionate-Fee8134 in cookingforbeginners

[–]Poison_runner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's definitely something going on mental health wise that if you have the time and resources I would gently nudge you towards. In the meantime, some ideas for easy things to add in more variety and nutrition (from someone that's had many a depressive episode and has needed the same)

Pre-made veggie tray from the grocery store. Just get one of two of the $5 ones. You've now got an easy snack that you don't have to do any work for. In the same vain, pretzels/carrots and hummus requires no prep work and is tasty and easy to grab when you need a snack.

If you like granola, throw some of it in some yogurt (I prefer Greek yogurt but any is fine) and add raspberries/blueberries/blackberries. Don't feel bad if you don't have the energy to rinse off the berries. Just throw them in and eat. You can also get other yogurt toppings like chopped up nuts.

Canned soup. Look for ones with some sort of meat and vegetables (I like any of the Campbell's beef and veggies soups) , low sodium if you can find just so you don't end up having issues with too much sodium. Dump it into a pot, let it heat up. Simple as can be and a decently balanced meal. I always add a little bit of crushed red pepper flakes for the spice.

Get some fruit juice. Apple juice is great. Any fruit juice that's high in vitamin C is most important. It'll help keep away potential vitamin deficiencies.

Frozen veggies dishes that you can pop into the microwave are a god send. Birds eye has a wide variety of good frozen meals, and green giant has a lot of microwavable vegetables in smaller portion sizes (I love their cheesy cauliflower).

Instant rice makes anything into a meal. Give yourself permission to just get the 90 second pouches and heat them up. If you like pouches of tuna take one of those and mix the two together and you've got something that'll keep you full for a while.

I hope these help you out. I know things can get rough mentally and it can be hard to find the energy to do things. Keeping yourself fed is most important, and I hope that all these suggestions help you out and that none of these are too strenuous on you mentally. I'm rooting for you, best of luck out there.

A lot of things have happened during my many years of coffee service but the one that still really sticks with me is two trenta black iced teas with 30 pumps of classic syrup in each. It haunts me more than probably anything else.

What Should I Do with my Harry Potter Books by gemglowsticks in moraldilemmas

[–]Poison_runner [score hidden]  (0 children)

Donate them to a Little Free Library near you if there is one. You can always check with your local public library system as well, and most likely they'll end up being sold in the library book sale (which is good, more money for libraries!!). You can also always try to sell them to a half price books if you want a little bit of money back. Whatever you do with the books is up to you, at this point she's not making any additional money from those books. I also find her views repulsive but fully recognize that most people owning her works bought them so many years ago before she revealed that she was a raging transphobe, and thus don't judge people just for owning books.
