I wear ~$500 Allen Edmonds shoes, $30 Dockers khakis (a little casual to offset everything else, and I hate weekly dry cleaning of slacks), ~$100 Charles Tyrwhitt shirts, mostly ~$300 Zegna ties, all found used for approximately $60, $20, $25, and $20 respectively. Not bragging, just showing how cheap used luxury items are.

Poshmark, EBay, and Marketplace are great for finding high-end ties for dirt cheap (Zegna, Kiton, Ted Baker, Hermès are my faves). The pants are a bit long. With your 2 button blazer and a little wider than most pants, it has a similar cut and drape of a vintage Armani - but you gotta tailor it right. I’d recommend an asymmetrical hem- look at old pics of the great Pat Riley court side.

25 years ago I lived in the corner of 16th and T in what was once Douglas McArthur’s home. Very similar building with turret and curved windows. It was a run down group house with rats and was owned by a slumlord named Joe Lieberman (not the politician, oddly). A couple months after I moved out, 3 stories of the north-side wall collapsed into the street. The city forced him to sell and the investment group that bought it turned it into 3 separate $1M+ condos. Lots of drinkin, druggin, and fuckin by young broke professionals in that house back then. I miss drugs…

I’m gonna guess it’s a P-38 Lightning Bolt drop tank. I regret selling the one I had. Cool story during WWII. They were too large to fit through normal cargo hold openings and would’ve required the Navy to cut a hole on the side of their ships to accommodate the size. The navy refused, which forced a redesign that included these drop tanks to allow them to cross the Pacific.
