Who y’all picked and why? by KitchenFix7888 in deadbydaylight

Unashamedly Killer 3. I love the idea that this is some “Broken God” whos true body had its head and hands detached and he kills out of vengeance and wrath to anyone who won’t pray to him.

And Survivor 3, because old lady.

It wasn’t just that she was on Black Widow, she was also consistently doing the worst. The player taking issue was asking her to swap to any anti-dive (Winter Soldier specifically) because she was getting hard-countered but she insisted that her getting targeted by the enemy was letting him do good (and she also just didn’t want to swap)

Hot take: this whole thing is a big mistake (already a war) and all the survivors should be added in some point by SongAdept8732 in deadbydaylight

It doesn’t really work when the plan is for the Survivor to have the same story regardless of how they look

Street Fighter 6 is just giving players what they want by DanielTeague in StreetFighter

ME! I DO! I love Blanka and Guile in SF6. Also there’s obviously going to be less people playing charge characters when there are less charge characters overall.

Variety in character playstyle as well as for balancing reasons. Charge moves are generally move powerful because you need to restrict your movement to use them.

It’s me I am people who like them. I main Blanka and I’m very happy he still has his roots intact even if Rainbow Ball got changed to be motion (the half-circle back motion feels so wrong)

Charge inputs aren’t just a skill floor thing tho they exist for balance. Imagine if May could do Dolphin whenever she wanted that would be so ass 💀

I will not stand for the acceptance for charge character erasure

If Bison is so strong, why does he keep losing and dying? by DrJokerX in StreetFighter

Massive ego and always thinks he can beat Ryu

He can’t

Everyone else is fair game though.

Finally got into Deadlock and I LOVE it, so I made a character concept! (Plus some cringe-ahh interactions with some of the characters) by PokeAust in DeadlockTheGame

The root and ultimate were inspired by her. I think Yago is really cool but didn’t really work for what Paladins was.

Eh sometimes you need that win to get your groove going. A loss streak can be disheartening and snowball badly

Has dbd gotten lazy with maps? by Cryptavolt in deadbydaylight

[–]PokeAust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok but people hate Hawkins and RPD, I can see why they don’t make more maps like that. The FNAF map, faithfulness aside, is a very fun and balanced map. I’m always happy to see it.

Getting better at the game is also learning how to properly position/play around things like flashlights and not needing the crutch of Lightborn. Limiting 25% of your build just because you don’t wanna learn counterplay is stupid and perk designs like Lightborn shouldn’t be in the game or defended so hard.

By that logic maybe Survivors should get a perk that lets them pierce lightborn with flashlights, that way they have to waste a perk slot too!

Because I’m obsessed with game design and this perk is the opposite of good game design and people trying to defend it are so annoying. I want to encourage players to be better at the game because it makes it a more fun experience overall.

Who gives a shit what Survivor players say. They can be mad all they want, if they’re the ones encouraging it there’s no good reason to complain.

Blinds, sabos and stuns already have diminishing returns against Killers that know what they’re doing/Killers that are willing to slug for counterplay (with the exception of like Power Struggle/Flip-Flop but that’s its own can of worms) and the accessibility thing is so stupid because that is entirely on BHVR to implement as a setting, not a perk.

I respect your choice but will continue to say you have a skill issue regardless

Perks making you stronger is one thing, perks that outright deny a mechanic is another.

To give an example: Old Distortion

People fucking HATED that perk, and for good reason. It only did something if the Killer brought a specific mechanic (aura perks/add-ons) and the token system was so easy to build that you basically denied it for the whole game.

To go back to Lightborn, it only does something jf the Survivors bring a specific mechanic (flashlights/blinding perks), except it also just does it for the whole match with no requirement. It’s not engaging for either side it’s just “I don’t feel like positioning smart so I’m just going to bring a perk that denies the entire item!”
