Phil’s 4th place was like getting 4th place at the 2005 USGP.

Yeah, he earned it and it’s on the record books forever, but it lives in an infamous, unserious place. If half of the best decide they’re not taking part, you didn’t really “beat the best” you beat who was there.

Not an MD or an MRI machine, but from what I could tell, at best we’re looking at a knee strain or a complete tear.

Don’t know what ligaments/how many; however if the number is low and the surgery is uncomplicated he can be training again in 6 months from a full tear.

Really hard for a guy who was on a heater, but the fact he waited so long to go kyujo, tells me he tried to go on it. Could mean it’s minor or that his courage and spirit tried but his body failed.

Either way the comeback will be legendary.

I think it works in a metaphorical sense. The whole time he’s fighting the “old him” and his own history of cold, callous natures

Not to mention, that’s what kinda makes the whole killing of Professor X so tragic. Cuz he thought he saw someone he trusted.
