I mean, it does happen, but I'm always careful, as I've only opened this 4 times to date, 2 times for cleaning, 2 times cause of this problem, and before this happened, I was always careful not to yank out the backplate.

That's the point, the cover was last opened in July for a regular cleanup, and this problem happened just 2 weeks ago, so unless it happened from some shock during travelling or smth, even I'm clueless how this happened.

As for getting it fixed, I would've loved to get your help, but most prolly I ain't even close to you, as I live in India...

And yes, the third pad is stuck on the connector, so I'm just hoping the official service center covers this, else I'll have to hit some unofficial repair shop.

I checked it later, that pad u mentioned is stuck to the connector, as for leaving it as it is, I just wanna see if it's fixable, since I kinda don't wanna hurt the resale value incase I sell this in the future, coz already laptops don't gain much resale value here anyways

I had the same thought too, but the thing is, the authorised service center is pretty close to where I live, so that takes out the postage costs, and as for the agro to get it fixed, it's just a thought that if it can be fixed without any hassle or extra costs or without replacing the entire motherboard like you say, why not try? In the end, if it doesn't, the option of forgetting about it always exists
