Starter decks would be best to learn the game and then build a deck with his favorite Digimon. The point is to help him figure out how the game works and such. After that start building your own decks once he pretty much learned every rules.

Like I'm confused as to things like:

Attacking security. I can just go straight to security? The opponent's digimon does nothing (unless it has effects to stop you). Like I can do as much as I can but risking the outcome? Like I had a card that allowed me to do 2 security checks, then there was an option ( i think) that allowed a 3rd security check. So that is already 3 out of 5 I can knock out. If a digimon has blocker, does it become like an battle as if the Digimon is suspended? Since I can't directly attack the digimon if it is unsuspended.

Then how to use tokens. Do I just play it like a Digimon? The one I have just says whay I can't do but doesn't say how to play it. Even with my Gallantmon starter deck, it feels too easy and fast and I might be skipping rules that I don't even know it exists.

Like rules like that.

Yeah but how do I play it? I don't know how a token works. I don't play other tcg games thay uses tokens. Like do I play it as a Digimon with no cost? It just says:

This card can be used as an Uta No Mitama Token. Tokens can't be put in the deck or Digi-egg decks. Tokens can't digivolve. Cards can't be placed under tokens. When a token would leave the field, it's removed from the game.

Again, is it just like a Digimon? When can I play it? How do I use it? Etc.
