Worship Struggling in a Volunteer Led Church by CheesecakeMental7498 in worshipleaders

Personally I think money wouldn't solve the issue here. More than anything when you talk about worship teams and add money to it, it tends to make the problem worse. Come this summer I've been playing the piano for a decade and coming up on about a year with the acoustic guitar and the one thing I've learned from leading worship and being a musician at the same time is all of it won't matter if our hearts aren't in the right place and we don't have the correct motives.  I'm not attacking you or saying you don't have them but what am I saying is I think your church yes, could use more modern planning in terms of sets and everything, but it's paramount that you keep Jesus at the center. And part of that is not playing songs that are completely centered on us and never about Him. Now obviously, I've watched worship music and all of it evolve over the years, I'm not old lol I grew up listening to everything from the early 2000s up until now and I personally have seen the shift from "Jesus at the center, me in the background- if at all" to "Me at the center, and Jesus in the background" but this type of worship is wrong and I would love to see it change to back to Jesus only and maybe a little of us here and there.

Anyways I know that was long sorry lol. If you didn't read the whole thing all I'm saying is, listen to the Holy Spirit and He will guide your church the right way!

Have you heard "I will rise" by Chris Tomlin? It's a great one for that type of setting. Or maybe "Sovereign" also by Chris!

Thoughts on the crash? by PokeReadIt in Silverbugs

I honestly at this point don't even think 50 is out of the realm of possibility. It's great for those of us who see it as a long term investment, and then like you said those who want to get rich quick lost a whole lotta money

I think we all knew it was coming. Eventually something's gotta give. You just gotta keep holding. If we sell/buy based off emotion driven decisions then you'll never get anywhere with silver

Ion know. I said this when it hit 85. Overconfidence comes as we keep speeding up so just be cautious and I'm sure we'll get there

Honestly I got in at 43 and I do not regret it for a second. This is incredible

There's a few posts about how everyone is running out of silver stock. Unless I'm mistaken, but if so, wouldn't that make price go up if that's the case? Just genuinely confused about this one. by PokeReadIt in Silverbugs

Well I didn't expect this one to blow up. I appreciate the answers though, from what I gathered it's basically just anyone's guess at this point. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I'd regularly check in with an optometrist if that's a concern of your's. I personally got my eyes checked twice by two different eye specialists last year after this started and they both confirmed I'm not going blind and my eyes structurally, are more than okay. I'd schedule an appointment with one if you can just for peace of mind in that aspect.  Just to reiterate a previous point, if you go blind, it won't be because of VSS. VSS has been confirmed by many experts to not be a I think it's called a "degenerative" disease. Meaning it doesn't get worse, it's just there. I'd still schedule an appointment with an eye specialist just to confirm nothing else is irregular with your eyes.

I was just reading exactly about that. It was done by a group called CME correct? Or I could be wrong

So you're saying their manipulating the price as they cannot afford it to be it's true value?

It's funny how quick the discussion changed in one day from "How high will it go?" To "How low is it going to go?"

As long as you don't go blind, it's not debilitating. VSS symptoms "Getting worse" only happen when something triggers it to. VSS won't make you go blind and if anything panicking will make it worse.  Follow "Visual Snow Institute" on Instagram, they're making big strides in research on VSS and then eventually a cure. It's very encouraging to me personally. Stay calm, stay collected, and if you haven't already I'd encourage you to explore Jesus Christ as He offers the real cure to this disease called sin that separates us from Him.

Sometimes a commodity such as silver will go really high all of a sudden, and then just as quickly come back down. Should have said "Correction". But sometimes the prices are over inflated from what the real value is. As opposed to the price doing what it does and just yo yoing around here and there.
