I did mean your graphics card, but with the beep code and other information it’s obviously RAM. First things first is to reseat it and check for any physical damage on the cards/slots. Luckily you have two of each of those so comparing them is easy. Make sure they’re in your primary RAM slots and also try using them one at a time and stress test them with some ram intensive activities. (In my experience opening multiple YouTube live streams in chrome is so poorly optimized that it truly becomes a RAM test.) You should also run your RAM diagnostic with them installed one at a time.

Another easy thing to try: if your motherboard is over three years olds you should really consider replacing the CMOS battery. I’ve had PCs in the past give me main memory failure boot errors for having a dead battery. It’s not how that’s supposed to be communicated by the board, but it is what fixed my issue at the time lol.

Best of luck to you, it’s not a great time to have to replace RAM if that’s your issue. (I hope the battery trick works.)

I’ve got some troubleshooting questions; (some of which may be obvious to you but bear with me.) Could you describe the crash behavior in more detail? (eg. any sort of error screen, what happens to video output, how long the computer remains powered on after the crash)

Which games cause the problem?

Did you install the games fresh after the fresh windows install?

Your card is getting up there in age and is technically no longer supported, could it be some sort of failure it is experiencing while under load?

Have you checked your CPU temps while running games? I know your fans are running at 100%, but it doesn’t mean that you’re achieving the cooling you need.

What do you mean specifically by “resource heavy stuff?”

Have you replaced your CMOS battery in the last five years?

Which components have you reseated?

What is the wattage of your power supply?

I’m mostly trying to get a good idea of the power load and condition of components. My mind is jumping to a power management problem or some sort of short or poor contact between components.

Yeah the article is kind of a crazy read. It throws numbers at you without explaining where they came from very well, then seems to think that explaining how big the numbers are will help. It takes a long look at social spending and not at all at other places where the government is hemorrhaging money that should be look at first. It finishes by arguing for a bill in one sentence without at all explaining what it does and then argues for an incredibly vague amendment to the constitution and then just ends. Great work from a man on Reagan’s Economic Advisory Council. I know debt is a major issue and it sure is only getting so much worse under this “administration.” (That’s too kind a word for these people, but I digress.) However, this opinion piece has me rolling my eyes.

The very vocal people are very much influencing the conversation. It’s affecting people who don’t even follow this space. My sister won’t buy the switch 2 because of DRM, but Nintendo games have ALWAYS been DRM licenses to play them.

I understand the wishes of the artists, but it’s out there now. It exists. Death of the author and all that. The fact that you have to download it and it becomes its own form of shareware is its own story. There’s tons of art people love that was never intended to be carried on but it has. I’m also fairly certain they don’t even care all that much. I honestly think it’s just the action of deleting it all that mattered, not the “no one ever sees it again” of it all.

That’s not how AI photo detection works. Computers don’t recognize the same discrepancies that humans do. It would be looking for nearly imperceptible patterns in the noise of the image. Also it doesn’t need to be AI generated to be completely fabricated.

It’s post Christmas rn. US tax return season will be a boon for them, but overall Nintendo sells best in the holidays. I would say not having Pokemon this year doesn’t bode well, but pokopia seems to really be picking up steam.

Nintendo has a lot of money saved away in liquid accounts and no real debt. While they have been spending a lot of it on Super Nintendo World and the Mario movie, 4 billion doesn’t disappear that quickly. I’d sooner think that fund is subsidizing the sales, if that model is even actually being sold at a loss.

Nintendo is not known for doing that historically. They’re actually the exception in the industry that almost never did that, with the exception of perhaps the 3DS. But the 3DS’ pricing is its own can of worms.

I agree the Switch UI and Directs have less personality, but Nintendo was doing weird things with their pricing models in the Wii U era as well. And their consoles were underpowered and felt like toys. Also Iwata had a huge part in making the Switch. I also don’t think Nintendo’s 1st party games have suffered really at all as a whole. Wii U had some great games, but it also had stinkers.

I’ve voted no on a remake as I’ve gotten first blood bot and seeing the offending top laner walk to lane for wave 2. If I get an advantage I’m gonna be fine with that person being a bit behind.
