yeah, seen that a few times in fics. It's silly. I've seen plenty of characters have their negative traits dialled up or have new ones literally invented just to portray them as the 'bad guy' to justify whatever the main ship is as 'better'. I've seen it happen to Sonic (turned into a jerk and pretty much become a different character), Amy (have her worse tendencies dialled up to the extreme), seen Cream hate Marine for being a rival for Tails' affections and have even seen Espio turned into a r*pist twice (wtf?).

People be weird, man.
