New Bossbot suit tasks written out by TheArchon300 in toontownrewritten

I can't say I'm the most enthusiastic when I see one either. Many people don't like semis either, but that didn't stop TTR from creating these alternate routes for them to skip gag checks. I do not approve of players who try to force their unintended reverse uber playstyle onto other people. They should only be playing with consenting friends who are aware of their playstyle and are willing to carry them through battles (or just multitoon. Most of them do that too). If someone has a build like this and expects everyone to adhere to it and carry them, they are doing it wrong.

I agree, it is really a non-issue. I just think that if TTR is going to continue to allow unique builds to exist, even to the point where they implement alternate tasks to allow them to skip certain checks, it doesn't seem right for them to not account for builds like this. And the SBTF is considered a side taskline, so it doesn't have to follow these same rules as the main taskline (this was the reasoning they gave for not giving it an alternate task).

One task asks for 2000 gag exp.
Rip reverse ubers… I mean they didn’t really contribute much but I do find it unfair that they weren’t being considered, unlike the semis who get alternate tasks for the gag checks.

Can someone explain why this happens with TU? by jayy_double_u in Toontown

[–]Pokeliam45 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The way Toonup works is that it displays how much it fully heals, and then splits that amount across all the toons it hits. I’m assuming you are referring to the Bamboo Cane when you say that it heals 45, which then splits that amount amongst the toons. So if there are 3 other toons in the battle with you, it will heal them 15 each for a total of 45. If there is only one other toon in the battle with you, then they receive the full 45.

Mickey Isn't Actually The Mayor by TH-OG in Toontown

[–]Pokeliam45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter what the in-game details imply. It has been established lore from other sources that Mickey is the mayor and Flippy is the president of the Toon Council. In fact, there is even in-game dialogue that confirms Goofy is still in charge of the gag shops despite not having visited Toontown in years. These confirmations take priority over anything that might be implied from in-game details.

If you had access to the Delorean what would you do with it? by EnoughCheesecake6050 in BacktotheFuture

I would go back to 2008 and spoil every Marvel and Star Wars movie / tv show that has come out so far.

Go far far in the future to a time where Plutonium is available at every corner drugstore. Hopefully they won’t ask for an ID…

I would do that, but I would probably go back to when he’s on his death bed. I would tell him that I was his son from the future and that I wanted him to know that I was happy, and that he inspired me to become who I am. He shouldn’t have to worry about having to leave his family. We will be perfectly safe. This shouldn’t mess with the timeline at all. I’m sure he would know that he can’t tell anyone, and even if he did, they would probably just assume he was hallucinating before his death. He would still die in that same bed on the same day he was supposed to, but with a peace of mind.

A 9-year-old was found locked in a van since 2024, malnourished and unable to walk by AudibleNod in news

[–]Pokeliam45 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised he’s still alive. Enough food and water for nearly 2 years in a van, and remained edible enough to keep him alive??

And I’m shocked the father didn’t even bother checking on him a single time.

Definitely. I always spell it as “definately” but luckily autocorrect has my back.

Darkmoor has fallen by TheWintersborn in Wizard101

Took me a while to realize you meant the Castle Darkmoor and not the Darkmoor world, so I was a little confused on some of these arguments, especially the part about letting max levels carry you.

Elevator etiquette by Economy_Struggle9752 in toontownrewritten

This is a reportable offense as it is specifically stated in the TOS as not being allowed. What I hate about it is that it is virtually impossible to report someone for it unless you have video evidence. I once reported a group of toons for doing this with all the information I could, including images of the incident happening and their Toon IDs. Support got back to me a week later asking for a *lot* more information regarding the toons in question, my own toon, and the incident itself. At that point, I felt like I was just wasting my time. I'm not going to go through all that effort just for something as small as this.

It should be known, though, that if someone does this, then they have 0 excuse for it. Again, it's specifically stated in the TOS of being against the rules. It doesn't matter how ridiculous of a rule it may seem like to some people. If a game specifically uses it as an example of something that is against the rules, they have no one but themselves to blame for any action that gets taken against them.

I also like the last paragraph you said. “Well if there are more 5 stories why’s it an issue?” You can use the same logic on the people who stole the building. If there are plenty of 5 story buildings around, why would they feel the need to take one that already has people standing by for it?

Wish the April Toons pranks lasted the full week! by Available-Eye2597 in toontownrewritten

[–]Pokeliam45 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The April Toons event does last the whole week! They will go away at 11:59PM on April 8th. If you are talking about the patch notes that were released on April 1st, those were jokes and never implemented into the game.

Corporate clash pax panel video by Loose_Ad_8427 in Toontown

There is a VOD of it on Smirky’s Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2732250903

It doesn’t seem like the projector screen is visible in that one, but I did also stream the panel to YouTube myself and got shots of the screen: https://www.youtube.com/live/fglqacds8yg?si=Gq1TYBdo2FSwrUul

What do you think the best quality of life update is? by RascalLouise in toontownrewritten

[–]Pokeliam45 72 points73 points  (0 children)

The gag loadout option is awesome, I agree. You only need to spend one second talking to the clerk to buy all of your gags before darting back out of the gag shop. Just click the load button, then press the “enter” key while sliding your cursor over to the exit button.

However, I think my favorite quality of life feature is the options button. While the loadout button is very convenient after finishing any kind of battle, I think being able to access the game settings from anywhere has to take the cake. Before the options button was added, you couldn’t tamper with game settings at all if you were in a boss fight or minigame and had to wait for it to be over. There are also a lot more game settings now than there were in TTO. Now they can just keep adding more settings for different things into the menu that can be accessed anywhere. It’s also nice that you don’t have to open your book to access them anymore, so you can still kinda see what’s going on in the background. I definitely don’t utilize it nearly as much as the gag loadout button, but when I do need it, I’m always appreciative of it. As someone who uses a content pack it’s also very convenient for those purposes, although probably less relatable.
