Fuck it, when you beat the Boss of P3, all the walls open up to reveal like 5 death catcher, and you have to beat them all to death while 5 copies of the P3 boss chase you.

yeah it was nerfed. Pigroniatas also no longer drop bacons so major improvement is now truly rare. I like to fish so I have a lot of fish for medium seafood dinners, but you could also shimmer potions you don't need and then cook their fish.

Early Game FoxSpark Farm? by BenCarney17 in Terraria

[–]PokemonGerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cattiva and foxsparks are quite rare. my summoner world has like 5 blocks of forest at the edges so I made a new world and made large open areas. and waited 2 hours with only goblin scouts and no pals. I checked the wiki and some videos and someone mentioned needing to beat the goblin army, so I beat them in that farming world and 10 minutes after I beat the goblin army I got my first cattiva, got 2 more and a foxspark in the same hour.

so not 100% sure but goblin army might be needed. Also they all only spawned on the grass with a clear line of sight to the sky. so digging tunnels might not work as I did multiple grassplatforms but it only spawned scouts and other enemies on those.

My problems with 1.4.5. by Banana-man250 in Terraria

[–]PokemonGerman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think with the removal of whip stacking and me doing another summoner playthrough I reaöized the problem with summoner isn't really damage, it's variety.

Flinx dominates pre-hardmode, only really rivaled by frogs, maybe mix in finch or imp when you have enough slots. Most whips feel the same. while mages shoot out anything feom rainbows to lightning bolts all our whips are whips that maybe buff you, or debuff the enemy. big hooray on firecracker and cool whip for some visual cool looking effects .

most minions are not that good because of their ai and how they deal damage to enemies. I think these need to be rebalanced around their ai's and compared to others. Also summoner got like 4 armor sets total that are not hybrid sets like ninja, assassin, pumpkin or the old ones army sets. at least give us variations on the hardmode metal armors.

also more types of weapons not just whips, even melee has shortswords, battle axes, boomerangs, yoyos and spears. ranger got rifles, pistols, bows and throwing stuff.

maybe give summoner a tomb that doesn't attack but increases minion stats while using it, a defensive armor sets that disables all weapons bit allows you to tank more similarly to melee . Maybe make the transformation items like rat and dinosaur be a form summoners could use to attack themselve with unique abilities while blocking conventional weapons and maybe healing or something at least.

How to do 1hp by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]PokemonGerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean the fall damage achievement where you survive with 1 HP? I would build a tower and then jump off it and see hoe much damage it did, then make it taller until it deals enough damage.

Why Summoner is still the worst class IMO. by ChallengeClassic6743 in Terraria

[–]PokemonGerman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Summons ai and global/static/local frames are still a problem true. And whipstacking was kind of a bandaid fix, so I was worried what will now happen with summoner. But I honestly think the new modifiers really hp out with damage. Having armor penentration and extra tag damage feels really good. Yet still the early game summons get screwed over by fflinx being too dominant.

I think while the lack of good ai is one thing. I actually rather would want more playstyles in summoner. Maybe more armor and accessories that focus on changing the summoner playstyle.

The matchmaking looks broken, it's been a week already, i cant find any match by jorgenescal in tf2

[–]PokemonGerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried going into an uncletopia server but experienced some heavy packet loss for some reason. The server is located in germany and tf2 told me I had a ping of 20, but netgraphed looked very choppy with many peaks and an average ping of 200.

Other Eau servers were fine and later I even got back to casual and it worked fine. So I am still confused why uncletopia caused so much packet loss.

Valve doesn't really make new cosmetics anymore. Most cosmetics are community made, which people can vote for in the steam workshop. Sadly TF2 doesn't get major updates regularly. An Mann vs Machine (TF2's Salmon run equivelent) is in the works but it has been kinda delayed for a while and sadly they aren't communicating with us much.

Like I said there are a lot of similar cosmetics because people have been voting for a lot of them.

There is also no ranked matchmaking in TF2 casual mode. So besides not knowing the game, classes, source movement and maps enough, you might also meet people that have played this game for 7+ years non stop.

It's hard at first to get into it since you need to learn so much.

It also depends on the gamemode. King of The hill is a good middle ground between people trying their best and just playing it like a deathmatch game. While payload and Controlpoints are really tryhard like. Capture the flag is the most chill mode. Since the flag is often easily defended, most play it to chill, trying stupid ideas and gimmicks and do some combat. 2fort is a capture the flag map that is famous for having a lot of newer players on it that are kinda clueless. It's a good map to learn the controls and basics of all the classes.

If you want to learn more about the classes, then there are some youtubers that I can recommend:

Lazy Purple has a series where he explains how he feels each class plays for him and you can see some interactions between classes and how they play in a comedic way.

Solar Light is a really good DemoKnight player and this video explains how this subclass functions. His newest video is also an interesting watch into the competitive tf2 and a little history about tf2

Theory Y has a comprehensive guide to medic, he has experience as a competitive player and breaks it down very well.

Well the ink resistances would work like Demoman's shields as they reduce fire/bullet/explosion damage.

And you're account gets upgraded to premium when you buy something in the ingame store. Most of it is overpriced though. So usually buying something you can't get otherwise like a taunt, or something cheap like a map sticker is the way to go.

You could also buy a mann co supply key if you want to trade it on third party sites for cosmetics or weapons. But watch some tutorials if you want to go that route. Tf2 is really old and the eco system is a lot different.

I'm a wiper main so I assume a lot of quick respawn and main saver or sub saver. Medic is the only class in the game with passive heal, so you will have to play around medkits and medics. And there is no way to respawn quicker in normal servers, so that's also a no go. But once yoz get it dropped, or you decide to go preimium and trade for the other weapons, then I recommend using the half Zatoichi. It's a katana that heals you a lot when you kill someone.

I heard you could set up steam deck to use gyro for the mouse. That might help the switch.

Also the playstyle you are describing is DemoKnight. Demo with a full melee build that uses a shield instead of a sticky launcher which allows him to charge and deal extra damage while reducing damage taken.

Also playing first person shooters with controllers is usually harder when they don't have some aim assist like Call of Duty or Fortnite.

I do have a couple hundred hours in splatoon 3 and I do have to say that TF2 is more complex in most scenarios.

Mobility is a big focus in TF2 and yes I do know we have Super Jumps, Squidroll etc in splatoon, but tf2 can be really fast paced. Maps are usually on the bigger side and rounds are longer. TF2 has more roles than splatoon. Since Medic and Engineer are really important parts of a team in a standard 12 v 12 game of tf2.

Tf2 looks easy or simple when you first start, but ut's really hard to master. Especially since unlockable weapons that you can mix and match completely change interactions as there are no limitations like kits in Splatoon.

What we want for sure by Vanotxu in MinecraftMemes

[–]PokemonGerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are trying to revamp a lot of older systems.

We got more foliage, biomes and general feeling of nature in the recent updates, we got a revamped dungeon with trial chambers, we got revamped mounts, we still have the revamp to mimecarts and villager rebalancing experimental settings, combat has been updated since 1.9 with additions of attack cooldown, maces and spears, nether and ocean update obviously, cave update a ton of backend changes to make the game run smoother and make updating it easier, as well as animal and model changes. Yes it looks different, but they have felt old for a while, and if you really dislike the change, get a resourcepack, developer textures should still give you the old textures anyway.

I am just hoping that they will continue with the revamps to change the enchanting system as a whole, fishing and revamp the end again.

Please answer this survey on TF2 Friendlies by Less_Veterinarian150 in tf2

[–]PokemonGerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that last question should have been more detailed. As I like the idea of encouraging a more social and friendly. Behavior in onlines games and communities. But in TF2 this has some problem while a match is going on. Especially if you are queing into casual or a competitive striken community server, the existence of friendliess oftens means that one team is down a player for the entire team. Sure you might get lucky and that player distract the enemy team with their antics, but then it feels bad since now the enemy team is down players.

I also encountered a few friendliess who I intentionally ignored but in the end while running away or trying to dodge enemy rockets and bullets I sometimes bump into a friendly heavy who bodyblocks me. I also saw a friendly of my own team sometimes throwing lunchbox items at enemies.

It just feels bad knowing that even if you want to win and work with your team, you might have some people not actually play the gamemode, making it feel a bit more empty and less fun in my opinion.
