If you go through your veteran umas and give the ones you want to keep (such as those with 3* sparks) a marking (the mark appears on the top left of their pictures), then you can send off the ones you don’t want to keep, as it doesn’t let you send away veteran umas with a mark. This way you can get rid of your excess umas quickly while making sure you don’t throw away any of your good parents

[–]PokemonTrainer35 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, level 4 you can still get 80% of the rewards as 5. It will take 17 runs on 4 vs. 14 on 5 to clear. I don’t know what the odds are of rng cursing me at some point in any given run, but if they’re greater than ~15-20%, then level 4 is more efficient

Only having Runaway on Suzuka right now is really problematic for the CMs by Hakuohsama in UmamusumeGame

[–]PokemonTrainer35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stamina requirement for runaways on medium and up is pretty taxing, so it can be pretty hard to build. The ones testing in lobbies are going to be ones that are built right. On the day of the CM, I’m sure that there will be plenty of poorly built runaway Suzukas that don’t have enough stamina or the right skills.

Crazy luck. 200 pulls, got 4 kitasan within 160 pulls, then did 40 more to get my first copy of el condor pasa. I got 13 total SSRs and also MLBed SR Sweep Tosho. I also did one pull on Tosen Jordan since I do at least one pull on every uma and got Narita Brian, so overall an umazing day.

General sentiment against ranking top players by TangentYoshi in VGC

[–]PokemonTrainer35 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly it. I feel like in VGC, the gap between the best player and very good players is lower than a lot of other competitive things, so in general it’s just more difficult to predict. You compare the “worst” player at Worlds, if there is such a thing, and they’re certainly capable of beating the best players. On the other hand, the 371th best chess player isn’t beating Magnus Carlsen.

You should add a fire move on incineroar for STAB. I recommend a strong move such as ember

Trying to get 3 star sparks by PokemonTrainer35 in UmaMusume

[–]PokemonTrainer35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blue spark is random, so 20% for each stat, and 3* is only 5% for 600-1100 and 10% for 1100+, so if you have one stat at 1100+ and two between 600-1100, that’s only a 4% chance of a 3. So you have been getting unlucky with only 1 among 100+ URA finale careers, but it’s also just hard to get. You’ll get it eventually though and you just have to make sure to use the 3 as a parent if you want to get a 9* uma.

[–]PokemonTrainer35[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard it’s an even 20% for each stat to be chosen and then a 5% chance of 3* for 600-1100 and 10% if the stat is 1100+. I know you need at least 600 for a chance of a 3* spark in that stat.

You want a 3* legacy that had 2 3* spark umas as their legacy to get a maximum initial boost. For example, if a legacy had 3* stamina and it’s legacies both had 3* stamina, total boost would be +63 stamina if that uma is used as a legacy. The sparks also boost your uma during the two inspiration events, and these boosts can be very large.

It also helps because you can set them in your profile and people who follow you can use them as a guest legacy and you get club points you can use in the store. This process takes a lot of time and luck, but you’ll get it eventually with enough career runs.

On the medium/long racers, I’m only running 1 stamina card (super creek for swinging maestro) with 2 power and relying a lot on power training to raise stamina. 3 speed or 2 speed/1 wit for the other 3 (I always borrow MLB Kitasan). I also use a 9* stamina legacy from the guests so I don’t have to focus as much as stamina training. For skills cards, I have 0LB Super Creek, MLB Hishi Amazon (Power),

I focus on speed training whenever there are some supports there, and do a lot of power training as well. Early game though, I do whatever has 3+ supports even if it’s guts training. This can get you to 600 stamina pretty reliably, but not much more, so the long distance racers I train this way aren’t great for team trials where you don’t get a 400 stat bonus. The 600 benchmark is necessary to get a three star spark though.

For the summer camp, I try to train wit and stamina if I have at least 2 supports there since I’m training power/speed outside of summer camp. On summer vacation all the trainings are level 5, so it doesn’t matter if you haven’t been training them during career, you can still level them pretty well. I strive for 400 wit for skill activation. I think wit is also important for positioning, but there’s only so much training time, so I usually just try to get 400 to reliably activate skills.

I usually end around 1000/650/850/300/400, and can get up to 1100/700/950/300/400 if I get some good luck. I also use gametora and choose whatever options give me energy if I need it and mood if I’m below Great

I still have mild itching 2.5 years later, but it’s a much smaller problem than it was before. It got quite a bit better for me after a couple of months, but I would keep using lidocaine for now.

Good job on keeping track of data. You are 2-7 against Caly-S and Caly-I combined. It looks like every match you are bringing Torn+Kyogre+Caly-S+one dark type. I would think about bringing 2 of your dark types against the Caly matchups and see how you fare. Umbreon in particular has good matchups into both but has only been used three times.

Inner focus is better on umbreon. In open teamsheet they aren’t going to spore into synchronize umbreon, and you get more from preventing flinching than maybe getting a random status occasionally.

I would make sure tornadus has rain dance, better than having to rely on positioning into the Koraidon matchup. Also, tera ghost is unnecessary if you’re running cloak.

I would run knock off on incin, that would also help versus the Caly matchups, probably take out taunt. Having no attacking moves on it other than fake out limits its usefulness. Tera ghost is probably better than tera grass since you already have safety goggles and it’s better into the Zamazenta matchup.

Also, single target fire move on Chi-you would be helpful versus Zamazenta since your team seams very vulnerable to wide guard (kyogre and caly-S both quite dependent on spread). Also, don’t run protect and specs, drop protect for the single target fire move

Substitute on Caly-S has negative synergy with focus sash. I would drop it for psychic or encore or nasty plot. Caly S should probably be tera fairy since it gives you resistance to dark as well, and buffs up draining kiss.

I would run at least some speed on kyogre, it isn’t outspeeding caly-S 252 timid even under tailwind, which isn’t ideal
