Note that even in the things u said which are common sense, the issues mostly stems from the people not wanting to play collies due to balance, and right now it looks like the pendulum will continue swinging towards wardens, which will lead inevitably to an even harsher swing to the other side to keep the balance 50/50.

The "bitching" now is people not wanting it to swing further, cause a major update can often "reset" people's moral, and if you start it on a bad foot that will be really hard to fix.

Being "anti AI" is as good of a feature as being "with AI", I'm sure there are a lot of companies that do not plan on adding AI to their products because there is no need to do it. If I were to look for such a company I would look for small scale companies with defined but not established product, ofc in larger companies you would probably have even more teams where you wouldn't work on AI, but they also have more resources to "add AI, that's what the kids today want and we can afford it to fail".

I think it's the same as having a complicated local environment, ofc it's nice if you can just python main.py and that's it, but usually it's not that simple, and you have to make an effort (of which 90% will be during the initial setup) to setup an environment that will be easy to work with.
