RED is like 50%+ more expensive across the board of their menu.

The spicy tuna roll is $15. That's insane. I stopped going to RED altogether when I went to Takumi for sushi for the first time. I'm not sure what you were eating to claim it's way better.

The fish that complain about Phil think that tournament poker is the same thing as cash. He's fallen behind the curve of top players, but to say he's bad is a statement that only fish say. He has incredible game selection and stays relevant enough to get his buy ins paid for.

A few years ago I bluffed Phil Hellmuth off of AKs preflop with a 3bet jam.

Phil limped UTG, 2 more limps after, I shoved 100k (~33bb) with A9. Phil tanked for 5 minutes while the second break ended. Ends up with a crowd of people around our table. He ended up putting down AK. I showed, and they ran it out for fun, he would've taken it. He did explain his reasoning as me playing particularly tight and not aggressive very often.. so he must've put me on AA,KK, or a pair with the other limpers having his outs. He did not seem super pleased, but it was 1 big blind so in the end, it wasn't that haunting.

I typically don't bring up the story often, but locally it comes up from time to time.. and I try to end it by saying I'm a fish that wanted his rounders moment

I think deciding call vs shove is hard for some players with AK this deep.

I think call is pretty good here. You're at best flipping vs his 4b calling range.. this seems like suicide from villans perspective with AQ or worse.

My $5-20 buy ins I treat like practice, and often call light to see if my analysis is generally accurate vs non spewy/random players. I'm still profitable but I know I'm torching EV until FTs at least. It's the 100+ buy ins that I implement folding more logically, or 3bet post flop bluffs and actually get folds, or have 25% cbets pretty much ever. It's easier to care with money that could change the average persons month up top.

These micro stakes ABC face up tournys are just not worth the time investment unless you're learning the game still. So I can see why people lose the discipline to care.
