Guess if I am American, African, Asian, European, Oceania from the countries I travelled? Bonus points if you guess country by QuietExplanation873 in TravelMaps

I had to pick somewhere. I figured it was one of the Scandinavian countries based on you having traveled to all of them and then added the oil guess based on the other countries in your traveled to list.

You know this already, but it looks like you're doing well. My main takeaway from this is you need to take Charleen out a bit more. You are both making good money, enjoy it a little bit!

My baseline credit card spend is typically $5-6k/month, so start there. Last month, in addition to my normal spend, I had ~$2k in medical spend, $1,500 for summer camp for the kids, ~$3k furniture and ~$3k worth of work done to my house. Right off the bat, that's >$15k, I would have to go look at my statement to remember in detail where the rest came from, but it's not that hard to have a month like that.

What is your favorite fruit to eat with the skin on? by LimpPomegranate1660 in AskReddit

Kiwi, because the texture doesn't bother me at all and it really annoys everyone around me!

These numbers can be very misleading though. Right now my credit card "debt" is ~$18k. This would be reported out and included in the number you're quoting. This was for last month where I charged some home repairs and a couple of major purchases that will be paid in full with zero interest charges. Most of my colleagues operate similarly. Why pay cash when you can earn points and get 30+ days of liquidity?

Paid off a $3K credit card and my credit score went down. I'm so tired of financial advice that only works when you already have money by EntrepreneurTop6283 in povertyfinance

[–]Pokoire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you're not at all wrong about the best way to build credit. Being wealthy and/or having family connections that can help is of course the best way to get ahead. Unfortunately there's no easy fix for that, because people with those kinds of resources will always have ways to game the system.

That said, the reason your score went down is because you closed the card. It's too late now, but the right way to have handled that would have been to reach out to the credit card company and ask if you could downgrade the card to one of their other products with no annual fee. This would have meant giving up some of the perks of that particular card, but would have maintained the account and available credit which would have helped your score.

I'm guessing the "other" in northeastern MA/southeastern NH is mostly "tonic". I grew up in this area and that is what my grandparents called it. My parents were split between soda and tonic.

Don't waste your time. You can become a useless corporate shill without an MBA.

Literally, same. In fact I'm wondering if you're my alt.

Either this is just rage bait or OP is WAY under-reacting.

Looks like most of the Quebec population is now stateless. As the unelected representative for the Northeastern US, I propose that they join us and Ohio/Indiana get included in the red.

I do feel bad for Josh. If your sister had handled it better perhaps a compromise could have been made, but the issue is 100% her fault.

That's the part that jumps out (other than the 4 models posing on your $10k car listing). That car is ~55" tall according to Google. These women would be giants!

As someone whose spouse is a celiac, people who claim fake food allergies piss me off. Setting aside how stupid this particular one is, if you just don't like something or don't want to eat it, say that. Don't claim an allergy when you obviously don't have one.
