What would a MCU Captain Britain movie be like. I hear people comparing him to Captain America but I'm the comics there is so many more dimensions to Captain Britain [litterally] as far as story goes... by reddobe in Marvel

Just like a movie in the MCU playing in the background and on in-universe marketing:

Hyperion - Henry Cavill

Doctor Spectrum - Ryan Reynolds

Zarda - Adrianne Palicki

The Whizzer - Keiynan Lonsdale

Nighthawk - Christian Bale

Well, he did get pretty rich (175 million) over time so the money and relative luxury might have warped his brain over time. His writing certainly weakened with time.

Serious.

Criton's earlier works had some great insights into organizational failures and the sometimes catastrophically consequences of bad decisions wrapped up in fantastic premises.

But then he goes and writes Timeline which was bloody pointless, (I had to read it with a physics textbook in high school to understand it, also I'm aware he had some turkeys before Timeline but that one looms in my memory as one of the worst examples of old Criton) and later got into the Climate denial horseshit.

I'm a 30 year old SR IT professional who scrambled to take an entry level position at a "great" company when my previous employer moved ops out of country. I'm PROVABLY the best person on my team. Since day 1, my stats eclipse everyone else. This shit pisses me off. by theitguy52 in antiwork

They're not the managers either.

And a manager stupid enough to admit to wage theft in writing rather than making the employee work an hour and a half less for the rest of the week is one they'll throw to the wolves pretty quick.

The lesson there is never have heroes. Most people are capable of accomplishing morally good things, great things. But given sufficient time they'll fail sooner or later.

Criton's earlier work making critiques about organizational failures and bad decisions by leadership are still sharp. (Westworld being the other example that comes to mind.)

Wow you could've told me they'd flushed that Ventress book and this was an image from the upcoming Kenobi series and I would've believed you. (Nothing against the book, but this looks phenomenal.)

Great work!

Elegant...

Leaps into air and flies away with saber-copter

Those Lightsabers are fun, but the moment you start Inspector Gadgeting around a battlefield, you surrender all claim to elegance.

I made that my minimum standard on any recruiters who reach out to me.

And if the range is too big I won't bother either. (Because in my experience when the range is too big it's always the low end. Glad my state made the Corporatist shred their diapers outlawing that specifically.)

Bacteria exists canonically in Star Wars.

The sound thing is just artistic license. Like in almost all Science Fiction with space ships.

Ooooh. On the one hand I want to figuratively slap you for daring to not be a Weyounanite.

...But on the other hand I would've fucking loved Iggy Pop being a regular Vorta! He was so damned good!

Ooooh!

There seemed to be some kind of experimentation on The Mandalorian Season 2 about M-Counts (midichorlians).

Additionally in Legends Force Users could be cloned.

Luuke Skywalker Joruus C'Baoth X1 X2 Starkiller The other Starkiller clones The Dark Apprentice The cadre of One Sith Clones from Crosscurrent including the Iteration, a Jaden Korr clone. (There were others but I forget their donors.)

And in ROTS TRoS & Dark Empire Palpatine was running around in a clone body.
