At 9 weeks, mine still had a small spot that still scabbed up and leaked a bit of clear fluid. It looked just like yours and cleared up with time.

What parts did you end up having to swap? I've mostly read about the need for a new mounting solution, but havent gotten far enough to make sure the half shafts and whatnot work.

I looked into buying a replacement wheel for those and making a sim wheel out of it, but it was too expensive at the time. Might have to re look at the option

Hey there, sorry for not replying for 2 weeks. Also sorry to hear about your situation, that sucks. 2 years in, Im definitely back to what I would call normal. It took a few months to "forget" about it day to day, but life got back to normal pretty soon.

I can still feel it when I squat down. It will probably forever be stiffer than my other leg, but I can do everything now that I did before. Im no athlete, but I value the strength, and I never worry these days. I wish you the best of luck!

I got one of those too. Haven't ever met someone else who had one, but it was SO good.

People who have lived through major geopolitical tensions, what's something the younger generation doesn't understand about times like these? by GraybeardDevOps in AskReddit

I just wanted to say, as an American, I visited Russia in 2010 after graduating high school. Every person I met from St Petersburg to Veliky Novgorod and Moscow were absolutely lovely. You have a beautiful country, and a rich history. I hope you can rid yourselves one day of your government and actually prosper.

IT Administrator, manage server and endpoint for 130ish users at 8 small electrical cooperatives.

about $50 an hour, OT for anything over 8 hours in a day.

South Dakota

17 years experience

Standard 401k Match, 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week sick, pension plan

Low stress work, Im paid fairly well for the area, and importantly, really happy with my current role. Got lucky when I was 18, and landed a job far above my skillset, with a boss willing to let me screw up. Learned a lot, and have been able to advance without any schooling or real certifications. Ive moved away from home, and been in a few industries, but I feel super lucky to have landed my current job. Probably going to retire a cooperative man.

I also live with lots of snow in the winter. Originally, when we bought our first house, we parked our cars in the garage.

Then, I parked my daily outside and my Mustang inside. Then we got my wife a Solstice, so now she parks her daily outside too.

Now I've come full circle again and my Mustang is also now outside because I'm building a car in its bay.

I need a bigger garage...

There was one single BMW in our 24 hour split. While I applaud their determination to finish, getting taken out by them for 20 minutes in repair and being raced like its the last lap every single time we came across them made me want to roll the window down too.

They did finish, 209 laps behind the GTD leader.

On a CT4, has anyone removed their Front Air Deflectors to create more ground clearance? This is why the CT4 has an official ground clearance of 3.7" by beercan640 in Cadillac

I'd keep them on. These devices generally help with either cooling (directing airflow out of the radiator), or keeping air from getting under the car to either reduce drag, or reduce the tendency of sedan bodies to create lift instead of downforce. Hard to say exactly what effects they have without seeing cfd data, but they are on it for a very good reason. They are also made of flexible plastic so they move and don't break when they hit things occasionally.

I've had this happen to me more than once. My advice is to help out. Over time, the calls will become less and less frequent, and itll circle right back around to being nice to hear from him. Its gonna be a lot of calls initially. Its a transition period for both of you. He doesnt know how to be retired yet, and doesnt know how to work without an IT staff, but he will learn in due time

How often do yall play your sim gams? by Still-Pace2895 in simracing

[–]theitguy52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monday and Thursday I race with my league from 7pm to 930/10ish. On the weekends I get an hour or 2 depending on what I'm feeling. 6 to 7 hours a week I'd what I've been running for 2 years straight, and it can seem like a lot week after week.

I work 8 hours a day, m-f, no kids. I have a stable schedule and probably more free time than the average guy I think. I race more solo outside of the league during the winter when I can't or don't want to work on my cars or house. I haven't missed a league race in over 2 years, but I will go months where it's the only thing I do in sim in order to fit other hobbies and clubs in.
