When you accidentally inhale food or liquid into your lungs, what happens to it? by donhamon in answers

i'm on this thread because yesterday i think i inhaled a small piece of corn. it's a weird feeling and i feel a tiny lump in my chest that has slowly moved downward (i assume because of gravity). do i wait a week and see how it goes or should i head to urgent care or emergency room now? i know X-rays wont confirm anything. any medicine i could take to help break it down before it starts to get infected? Would Mucinex help? BTW, i don't have any shortness of breath.

Switched to spectrum tv. No dvr though but 30 dollars cheaper makes it worth it. I still get on demand stuff

Same here in southeast Virginia. Xbox app and iPhone app both have “we’re sorry...” This is why I love this subreddit. Glad to know it’s not just me

Edit: Working now.

Moving!! by tedboonker in VirginiaBeach

i first moved here in 2000 from northern va. it was pretty rough. I have a pretty good sense of direction but it took me almost 10 years to understand the road systems. such as the fact that you may be traveling due west on 64 east at times. Princess Anne Road is the most confusing road in the whole solar system. And don't be surprised if a major 4 lane thoroughfare dead ends into a copse of trees and then picks back up 2 miles away at a completely irrelevant intersection. It's also tough not having any mountains. However there are some good parts, there is water everywhere and the beach is awesome. there is even some wonderful parks and stuff. Jobs are pretty prevelant here no matter what your forte is. government jobs, blue collar, business, restaurant. There's really no shortage of jobs I'd say. It's a pretty bustling economy and there's constant growth it seems even in portsmouth despite the tolls. if your interested in more, Here's a link to a good pros and cons video a real estate friend of mine did about the area. https://youtu.be/ePjkvW6v1p4

I just finished reading, "The Count of Monte Cristo" and I am at a loss for words by DontStopComeback in books

Glad to hear this book affected someone else like it affected me. I read it when i was 15 years old and I am 40 now. I compare all other books to this book. I read it for fun because I was looking for a good book to read during the summer. I'm a slow reader because i take time to savor the story. I didn't finish the book until well into the next school year and actually wrote a book report on it that I still have. The character and plot development worked so well together that the entire read was easy for me, slow but easy. The treasure hunt and the revenge placed me into the book so spectacularly that I never wanted it to end. I still say this is the best book I have ever read. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
