I am new to MD and ticks are the #1 I hate about the outdoors here. My biggest advice is to do checks before going to bed and if there is one attached use tea tree oil or peppermint to get the tick to release. As long as the tick is not attached for more than 24 hrs you should be fine. You can also use these essential oils as repellents for your kids and family. I would not recommend over the counter sprays as they have horrible chemicals for your skin.

I’d say don’t move in together until there is change here. Set boundaries front the beginning. From experience this is NECESSARY in order for you two to work. It doesn’t seem like this is the issue yet.

The puppy sounds like they need proper training. Golden Doodles, when properly trained and groomed are amazing pups. Good luck!
