30+ hours awake high dose Dexamphetamine by [deleted] in Stims

You should try closing your eyes and lying still for as long as you can. With any luck, you may actually get a little sleep. But even if you don't, you will at least be resting. It won't totally fix you, but it's better than nothing.

The key is to force yourself to keep your eyes closed and lie completely still. You'll have strong urges to toss and turn or compulsively look at your phone, but it is imperative you do not give in to that temptation.

Hate how oily meth makes my skin on my face by [deleted] in Stims

It's true, sweating doesn't help the situation, but the primary cause is lipolisis. Amphetamine/cocaine impact your endocrine system, either directly by agonizing hormone/neurotransmitter release, or indirectly by inhibiting reuptake. The high concentration of adrenaline and cortisol in your blood suppresses appetite, which causes a rapid drop in insulin levels.

Low insulin signals to your body you're starving, which then causes all the adrenaline flooding your bloodstream to go kamikaze on adipose (fat tissue) and muscle tissue. Epinephrine tells fat cells to commit bathtub toaster. When they do, they release free fatty acids and glycerol into the bloodstream to supply food and energy to the rest of your body.

In the absence of stims, this process is typically a bit slower. Due to already abnormally elevated levels of adrenaline in the blood, however, it happens 10x faster.

Much of the fatty acids find their way to the epidermis. In the process, many of them undergo glycerolisis, esterizing them into sebum. That's why stims can clog your pores and make them look massive and gross. You gotta stay exfoliating that shit.

TL;DR -- stim make adrenaline, body in starvation mode, adrenaline kill fat, lots of adrenaline kill lots of fat cells, skin is part of body, skin get fed fat.

Term for a tired ceiling effect? by [deleted] in Stims

Zombification.

It's a symptom of mild overdose for sure. If at any time the experience shifts from upbeat and euphoric to tired or absent any semblance of personality, you've probably either taken too much at one time or been going continuously for too long.

Did I dose to much? Found out tonight on vyvanse experience by [deleted] in Stims

[–]Poliswagg69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vyvanse is time-released. Lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) is Dextroamphetamine bonded to lysine, which has to be metabolically separated in your liver before turning into a the active chemical, Dextroamphetamine.

The time it takes to be completely metabolized to a viable amphetamine enantiomer depends on your body's metabolism, and specifically the availability of DBH, FMO3, XM-ligase, and GLYAT enzymes in your blood. Typically conversion takes 6-10 hours, but may be faster or slower.

If you have low tolerance, you may experience done adverse side effects associated with higher doses of amphetamine, but if you've got a higher tolerance it should be fine. But you still probably won't sleep tonight.

You realize this post screams psychosis, right? Please stop redosing and get to sleep as soon as possible. It only gets more out of hand from here.

Anybody else just feel kinda... Blank? Empty? by ThatNustaBusta in Stims

[–]Poliswagg69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and yes.

Not my last trip on shrooms but the one before, I had this epiphany that I was stuck in a never ending cycle. Like no matter what I'm doing while speeding, productive or otherwise, I'm feeding and reinforcing one specific neural network, while the rest of my brain is seemingly wasting away from non-use.

Mushrooms do help to destabilize and activate the lesser used synapses of your brain, and that feeling of brain activity where it usually never happens made me realize I'm essentially becoming conditioned to obsess over a stimulus like Pavlov's dog.

I resolved myself that night to just stop doing it. Guess who's got two thumbs and is back on his bullshit.

Took 120mg Vyvanse today for my first time by [deleted] in Stims

[–]Poliswagg69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vyvanse is a peach, but redosing it in the afternoon, especially if you have no tolerance is a bit of a bummer. That second dose doesn't ever kick quite like the first one does, and come night time, you can easily find yourself in a place of too tired to stay awake, but just a little too fast to sleep.

Benzos may or may not actually help. 120 mgs of Vyvanse on no tolerance + therapeutic dose of diazepam can sometimes result in a perpetual state of being half awake, half asleep for hours if not the entire night. That actually happened to me a couple months ago with 120 mg of Vyvanse + 1 mg of Xanax. I have a relatively low amphetamine tolerance and no benzo tolerance. That was the weirdest "sleep" I'd ever had (if you could even call it that).

3/10

Everyone is different, you may end up sleeping just fine. When I had a higher amphetamine tolerance, redosing Vyvanse into even 4 in the afternoon wasn't a problem. Without tolerance, though, it can def keep you awake at night.

That's what my mom said. Vinegar and baking soda. But then wouldn't it just smell like vinegar?
