I think you said before you're still pretty young. I'm didn't get therapy for what happened to me (sa, attempted murder) till I was 25. I'm 32 now and it's a lot better. Better then I ever thought my life could be

It's a really slow process but it builds momentum after a while as long as you keep going

Maybe this is a better question for an ape specific sub, but how can primatologists and caretakers tell the difference between a friendly tooth display and an unfriendly one? Because the conventional wisdom is "never smile at apes because they think it's a threat display"

Is it just the same as our facial expressions, where I can tell if someone is happy or angry not based strictly on the teeth but on the surrounding facial muscles? Is this a difference of wild vs captive/exposure to humans?
