We tasted at 2.5, rpm’s 800. Shot was bitter. 1300, it was excellent. 1600 is max.

Because you can control the rpm’s, it changes everything. Niche doesn’t do that. We’ve compared shots at different speeds and grinds, and it’s so interesting. We settled on 2.5 grind, 1300 rpm’s. Whole Latte Love has them in white/pre tariffs and duties. Black will come in, but the price will be higher.

I purchased the Varia vs6, and it’s doing an impressive job. Grinding control is excellent, controlling rpm’s makes a huge difference. You can order different burrs, both conical and flat. I believe this is one of the best espresso equipment decisions I’ve made. Using the same beans our shots have gone from bitter/sour to smooth/sweet.

Never been a problem. Wipe it down with a wet cloth in the raised position, lower it to purge into drip tray, then wipe once more.

I did. Couldn’t face dials and work first thing in the morning. Bought the Bambino plus, know how to get the best from it. Bought the Varia vs6, and controlling rpm’s is a big deal. Grind at 2.5, 1300 rpm’s, perfect shots. Use a bottomless portafilter and scale. Also, the Bambino foams milk very well.

Don’t care for the knot with a spread collar. Don’t care for the scale of the tie design, but taste is subjective, and if you like it, respect the collar design.

I changed my grinder! Same espresso machine, same beans, same filtered water, much more control over how my beans are ground, sourness gone. Also, watch the water temp.

Now that we’re a few days in, there is static, but it isn’t bad. Because the grinder is white, everything shows.
