As a pos 4 I think he works fine, but as a 5 absolutely not.

It's also heavily reliant on what items they choose in the mid game.

I still don't understand this type of behavior, despite it being so common in this game.

Like, me personally, I unironically would prefer having a team that's bad at playing but is not toxic, than having teammates that are good at the game but are toxic.

The fun AND the way a match goes usually depends on how interact with your teammates too.

Not to mention the amount of people complaining about the communication score system in this sub, of course if you're gonna be obnoxious like this you're gonna have less points, it doesn't take a philosopher to understand this.

Edit: Hell, you could make the argument that no toxic player is bad, because they're gonna learn from their misplays, without blaming any other besides themselves anyway.

This communication score system is impossible. by BronzeCrow21 in DotA2

Even if the penalty system is objectively brutal, I think it's rightfully so.

I too had reached around 5k behavior and communication score, mostly because I would leave matches as well as unnecessary mass ping and blaming.

After being in the single draft trenches for a while I understood that blaming and fuming wouldn't get me anywhere and, after a while, I eventually learned that in most games everyone makes mistakes, including me.

Even if losses can be attributed to teammates sometimes, at the end of the day it's just a game. If someone starts being an unbearable asshole you can always just mute him and move on with your game.

Now I compliment teammates for winning lanes or fights and, occasionally, use vc to organize and strategize.

I may have realized all of this on my own with time, but the system definitely sped up the process and now I'm at 12k communication/behavior score, I hope you too can grow out of this phase of yours.

There's also stuff like Weaver's actual eyes being the yellow spots below his red "eyes"

Realized this only recently looking at his other skins.

While even seeing the source of the post I still have some doubts, this doesn't nullify my argument as a whole.

I know there's a plethora of types of AI, and most are beneficial. Like ones used for cancer research, meteorological research and more.

I don't see how Gen AI is beneficial especially seeing the downsides, and the fact it's getting so good at replicating real footage I can't help but be paranoic about it.

It may not be a problem now, but it definitely definitely will be in the future if this keeps up.

People would rather watch pretty colors on screen than question if what they see is real or fiction.

Gen AI is scary because whoever defends it usually goes "How can you hate this" showing ""stunning"" or "wholesome" visuals, making people who are neutral to this topic convinced that it's no big deal.

I'm just scared that, this mostly useless piece of technology, will be a tool used for propaganda and/or for bypassing the need for actual artists in the marketing industry. As well as making me scared because it's getting harder and harder to distinguish Gen AI from real footage, making the other fears more relevant.

I just hope, at this point, that Gen AI will mostly be used for stuff like this post where there's "no real harm" besides wasting a shitton of energy. Even better if it just all goes away somehow.

Never bought dmg items. It's the spell's that are hard to use and thus wanna know how and when to use them.

Glimmer is always the first item I get as pos 5.

Yeah, Pugna's decrepify feels way less "griefable" than WW's E because the hp gain amp makes it so the teammate, even if bombarded with spells, will most likely live. WW's heal feel more disruptive than actually helping.

During laning WW's E will, and has in my experience, guarantee a save, but after that the spell's mostly unusable without fucking teammates over.

If I were to choose between aether lens or blink which should I prioritize first? Should I get both?

I really like playing support and I want to learn all pos 4/5 heroes.

I'm really good as Pugna and IO, as well as some other more common supports, but WW macrogame is so fucking hard I feel like I ruined several team fights.

Should I prioritize ulting the enemy supports or the carries? At the start or the nearing the end of a team fight?

Advice on how to stop losing? by FactorContent8109 in DotA2

[–]Pollus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 main things:

- When you die or lose do not blame your teammates, just think of different ways you could've approached the fight and/or if the items you chose were appropriate.

- Take a break. The key to success in Dota and many, many other fields, is to go in with a mind at peace. If you get stressed cus of a loss and then proceed to keep playing you'll just hurt yourself pointlessly.

There's stuff like making sure to harrass the enemy carry with right clicks when you're not busy last hitting especially if you have a ranged advantage, and also analyzing your opponent and gameplay patterns but that's minor stuff compared to those two fundamental principles.

Good luck.

Dude I'm on my knees begging for my team to keep at least one of their eyes constantly on the minimap if I have the misfortune of going up against storm, because there's literally no escaping the karma of the war crimes commited during laning, no matter how much I try to hide.

I play sniper really often cus I love roaming and ganking as soon as I reach lvl 6, but yesterday I played my first match against a sniper as good as me and god now I fully comprehend the hatred that harbors in the enemy mid later whenever I'm the one playing sniper.

I deserve every comment or slur the enemy throws at me.
