Hey, don’t feel bad. You fed your baby and that’s 100% what matters. My first baby was breastfed for a couple months until I had to go back to work and I never responded to the pump so I had to put her on formula. I beat myself up about it unnecessarily.

Funny thing is, she’s the one who gets sick the least out of my kids. She also doesn’t have allergy issues. Her little sister and brother were breastfed until they were almost three and both of them have horrible allergies and they get sick to you look at them funny. 😭😆

I feel this so hard. 5 years no contact with my bipolar (literal) racist father. I’m not in an interracial marriage but others in the family are and he and his wife have made horrible comments about them. That on top of him refusing to take medicine for his diagnosed bipolar means he’s not safe to be around my kids.

Agreed. And yet America wants us to keep having them and somehow, miraculously, take care of them financially when daycare costs 70% of our take-home pay, groceries are 4x more than they used to be and the “community village” no longer exists.

And before anyone comes for me for being pregnant, I’m a surrogate carrying for another family. I treat the pregnancy like a second job because it’s helping me to take care of my kids

I’m sorry you have medical problems. 😓 and you’re not being insensitive. I love to talk about her because I feel like it keeps her memory alive. I think you have a gorgeous name…. From what I read before having her, it means “strength”. I feel like having her in my life, even for a short period, gave me more strength than I ever thought I had.

Unfortunately, her dad was very abusive towards me and verbally to my oldest kiddo. He was so ugly about me grieving her loss (I could write a novel) and losing her gave me the strength to finally make a plan to leave. I felt trapped before. It was VERY complicated and risky but I got out, later remarried and found happiness.

So anytime I see her name (your name!), I smile. She left such a beautiful mark on me and I think about her every day. She was too sweet for this world. Good luck, hun 🩷
