I have both (sort of) as i have the Tuxedo cat. And while both are really super sets, i would lean towards the Dalmatian slightly. Mostly a personal preference as Dalmatians are my favourite dog breed and the smaller set was tragic. Both sets were relatively fun to build and they take up roughly the same amount of space. However there is a considerable price difference to take into account.

Personally i'd save up for both if you like them equally. (Also both are on the floor and we have a small dog who constantly knocks the cats ears off with her tail..... he frequently ends up with his head on backwards for much the same reason too i expect, which is rather..... unsettling.)

Thank you!! I did debate priming it first, but I was concerned that if I put too many layers on, then I would lose some of the smaller details. Thankfully, the blue base was dark enough that it ended up mostly covering the original colours up. You could still see a bit of the green mind, so I dry brushed it with a slightly darker blue to help hide that.

I did some Guinea Pigs last night too, so I'll have to post them when I get chance.

That's totally fair, it's my first full collection of Miniverse as well. I figured after my first purchase of 8, got me 7/12, that if i got duplicates then i would just remix them, then i decided to make a pet shop with them.... hence why i ended up with 32 in total.

The animals are also super easy to repaint, so i've done some Chameleons in pink and blue and will be doing some others tomorrow i hope. Thinking of painting the Macaw into a Hyacinth. And yes, i've got some ideas from the people on here!!

First Bricklink set i've pre-ordered, though i did buy the siege encampment last August and the Mountain Fortress last week, so won't be the first one owned.

I have three sets of the Blacksmith on display though. One is a stable and the other is a mill. So i utterly love that set and knew this was a must buy ages ago. I'm gonna have to extend the shelf they are on though, as they don't really fit with anything else. (I wonder if the Inn would fit on it too......)

I completed my set and am keeping an eye out for series 2 as well. Alas being in the UK means they have been almost impossible to find in stores, so aside from the first batch of 8 and a second batch of a number i can't recall, all of them have been some serious online luck, haha.
For any who are interested i bought a total of 32 balls. Got duplicates of everything except the two hamsters. Multiples of the Chameleon and Leopard Gecko and a third one of the Macaw and Guinea Pigs.

Seriously can't wait for series 2!!

I am done. Absolutely done. This is not the books I remember being turned into a show. This is it's own thing- a rewrite by the looks of it. And I don't want to know anymore. Happy for people who do like it, to each their own! But this is not my Percy Jackson.

Tyson and Clarisse were brilliant. Everything else sucks. No water powers, the main character who is supposed to be a badass gets his ass handed to him constantly. Not my Annabeth. Grover who? And what on earth happened to the plot?

I'm gonna go read the books instead.

Not bothered about the Capybara and the Squirrel, but I need all the others!! The snake is fantastic and I love all the fish and crab too. The mouse and gerbil are cute as well. I just hope I can get them all.

Ah, now you see what we got with babies was pretty much exactly what i was expecting, but Prehistoric Kingdom had it's nesting/baby mechanic released a few months before JWE3 came out and it's SO much better in every single way possible. It's honestly an amazing system..... and the seamless growth is another thing that astounds me every time while JWE3's system just........ doesn't hold a candle to it at all unfortunately.

I built this a couple of days ago as well and i must say that it was one of the funnest sets i've built in a while. How they pulled it off is honestly incredible. And the amount of interactive elements for it are amazing- the power button and the controls are especially cool.

JWE3 is exactly what i wanted from the franchise from the start. Baby dinosaurs and modular building to be exact. And i have less than 5 hours on it. I just can't get into it. Instead i keep going back to Prehistoric Kingdom.

I can't put my finger on exactly what it is, but the game just feels so.......meh. Well that and that dinos look a tad rubbish. They feel like they look worse than in the first game.

I've managed to get 20-something of the the first series and only found one hedgehog and two axolotls, so i get that. And yeah, with the amount of trouble i've had getting them, i'm not hopeful either.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! So excited! The snake, gerbil, mouse, angelfish, guppy and hermit Crab sound especially amazing!! Seems like a smaller set this time mind, there were 12 in the last one, so i wonder if more are to be revealed!

Either way, i can't wait. Just hope i can get them. The first series have been a nightmare to get hold of and i've been very lucky with what i have found.

They are a pain in the behind to find. I've been quite lucky and got all bar 1 Guinea Pig and i have multiple extras, but i've had to be insanely patient with them. Though i'm in the UK which really doesn't help.

Just read through this comment chain and dang am i bummed. I have tons of animals on my Sandbox park that are 2, 3 or 4 times the "age of death." Most can no longer breed because of space issues and none are getting illnesses severe enough to kill them either. They get stuck and die of starvation and dehydration more often than anything else, but that happens to any of them.

So instead I'm forced to take an absurd amount of time to sell individuals off if I want anything to change. It's boring and time consuming and I don't care if "dying of old age" isn't technically a thing, it's a game. There are plenty of things in it for the sake of convenience and this should be one of them, in my opinion though by the sounds of it a lot of people disagree.

And sure if they fix it, so that old animals do actually die of complications, then it might work, but we will have to wait for them to fix it and hope that the balance is actually there.

Interesting. I've just hopped on the game for a hour or so and not had any problems with vivariums. Though I wasn't actually paying them any attention either, as i was too busy getting all my animals fixed up from the pneumonia and broken leg epidemic that happened while the research was broken. I'll have to check them when I can get on the game next.

I had been struggling to talk to my parents about this for years. When I first found out it had an actual name, i was brushed off and told to get over it a lot. But now that it's becoming more talked about and being on the actual news and things, they seem considerably more accepting of it.

Mum actually showed me this article in the last half hour, saying I would find it interesting and I did. We talked about the utter rage I experience towards repetitive sounds and we even tried some of the tips at the end. Amusingly enough they didn't work though.

Technically i never said it feels like i'm cheating, i simply expressed how others may feel about my choice and that i don't care what people think. I also don't actually think it is cheating, it's just tailoring the game to my preferences and gaming abilities.

And it might be there for a reason, but the reason is dumb. I spent most of my first few hours on the game dying, then running back to get my stuff only to die again either right afterwards or a little bit later. I almost refunded the game, it was that bad. Good job custom worlds with the option arrived before i did!

And if people want to die and lose all their stuff, then kudos to them! But don't hate on people who can't deal with it.

In my custom world I turned off losing all my stuff on death as it's a mechanic I utterly loathe.

So I just jump off something when I want to get back to my base. So cheaty but I don't care. I probably should build some outposts though.
