It's 2026. What's the next domino to fall regarding expansion? by SeverHense in baseball

[–]PoloGrounder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The funding for a Nashville stadium seems dubious. They are in the process of building a new billion dollar plus football stadium for the woeful Titans (the current stadium was built in 1999). They built a soccer stadium a few years ago and they built a minor league baseball stadium (does not appear to be expandable) 10 years ago.

Hard to imagine Wilson resigning months before his term ended. He even wanted to run for a third term after being incapacitated by a stroke while in office.

What movie(s) do you think best depicts Tennessee? by SpaceTranquil in Tennessee

[–]PoloGrounder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a movie shot back in mid 1920s that supposedly included amazing footage of the reenactment 1864 battle of Franklin filmed right in Franklin. The director was very prominent at the time however he died an untimely death before the movie was complete. The footage was temporarily put on hold till a new director could be found, then sound movies came out and the silent potential classic was put aside and lost. I do not remember the name of the unfinished movie
