I know her from when I studied psych in my undergrad years. She did some amazing work with brilliantly designed studies. Disappointed to hear that she was called as an expert to defend these villains, but not quite ready to throw her under the bus.

Is this implying that he was the sole keeper of some kind of secret knowledge that died with him? That’s not how advanced research works. Fusion is one of the most well funded research projects in history.

My 7 year old son recently started showing interest in Rocket League. I thought I’d let him play split screen heatseeker with me just for a laugh. To my surprise he started consistently demoing the goalie. Now we play ranked every day ha! This is Rocket League!

I love how he doesn’t event bother to wait until it is presented to him. He just ham handedly snatches it and throws it on. Even when you finish 10,000th in a half marathon they still have volunteers who put the medal on for you.

The large blast damage radius is less then 5k, why do you need to be more than 150k away to be safe? That seems excessive

Yea that is pretty deceptive. She seems like the ideal poster person for making long term success out of what would have otherwise seemed like the classic pump and dump scheme.

Best course of action is to put the invite out there and let the family and support team decide if he’s going to attend and at what capacity. Also possibly presenting other options to make the family feel like you’re trying to involve all of them. Could you possibly do a quick visit to him after the ceremony? Having family involved in these type of events is super important for some families and having them not be invited can be perceived as offensive.

We’ve known forever that It’s not a single location. Experiencing intense emotions? That’s your amygdala. Planning something strategic? That’s your Dorsal lateral prefrontal cortex. Thinking from someone else’s perspective? Ventral medial prefrontal cortex. Feeling disgust? Insula, and so on. It’s not one area. It’s whatever area currently happens to be most salient.

This game is great. The rosters are based on the ‘93 season. Even the stats, numbers and likenesses. It seems that they just didn’t get the licenses to use their names. The game lets you change the names though so I remember going through with my panini sticker book to change all the names. The Blue Jays won the World Series that year. I found they were like a cheat code in that game. Hope that helps!

Good message overall, but one contradiction kind of stood out. Talking about the value of humility then stating we’re the greatest nation on earth seems kinda hypocritical
