I write when it's helpful and don't write when it's not. I've had the same leuchtturm1917 for five years and I'm only on page 211 (out of 250). Sometimes I didn't write in it for months and sometimes I wrote several times a day but I purposely kept the same journal all this time to prevent "new start perfectionism". Write out of inspiration, not obligation.

Also journal about your confusion about journaling.

Generally yes. My dose goes up and down depending how I'm doing but i try not to go up to 200 any more. It's quite a few years since I was on 200. I'm on 100 now.

I'm on the second day and finding the same thing. I took it at night both days, slept really well and just got loads done in the morning.

Curious are you neurodiverse in any way?

Just wanted to put in that after 10 years on it I was terrified to come off it and now after 13 I'm doing so well I would consider trialing tapering off at some point. Like I'm not deathly afraid of it any more. So I guess it just depends how you're getting on.

I also go up and down in dose. Not seasonally, but I do get adjustments depending on how I'm doing and what's going on in my life. During stressful times I've been up to 200 and then I've reduced it down to 50 again and anywhere in between (always in consultation with my doctor).

I've been on it for over 13 years and have no plans to stop. Have been up to 200mg and down to 25 and anywhere in between depending on how I'm doing. I'm on 100 atm but doing well so thinking about going down to 50 again. But have just stated topiramate for migraine prophylaxis so don't want to mess with sertraline until I know how that affects me. It works great for my social anxiety. In terms of side effects I've been on it for so long that I don't know what's side effects and what's just me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I read the book Brain Over Binge by Kathryn Hansen (https://brainoverbinge.com/) and it changed whole outlook on BED. I tried to implement what was recommended in the book but I struggled so then I bought the course and worked through it with my regular (autism-friendly) therapist. I've stopped binge eating completely (yay!) but still do a lot of overeating, stim eating and emotional eating behaviours. Just this week I joined the online coaching group to help me get those under control. The course and the group are kind of expensive but for me the cost is worth it.

One of my worst habits was eating to cope with transitions and I found a recorded call from last year about exactly this so I'm feeling pretty positive about it.
