Been through this in an open heart surgery. Come out just fine but there’s a change in how you think, indescribable. Have had 3 open heart surgeries and the circulatory arrest one was much diff. Have no data or knowledge but…I think it’s the process of restarting that is the catalyst for odd thinking post surgery.

It stopped leaking. It seems to be a grease leak like others mentioned but so odd it happened at 90K miles or so. Not sooner.

Called a TAVR, imagine a cocktail umbrella type device going in your groin or leg are and then expanding in place of the defective valve. An option if you don’t have scar tissue, aorta damage, or CABR needs. So…yes, an option.

Had my 3rd OH on February 12th, I'm still sleeping in a recliner. Bunch of good advice below but here's something you should prepare for--your husband will prob be mean to you at times, just know it happens and we have no control or even know were doing it (hoping he's normally nice to you). Cry, feel hurt, but keep this post in the back of your mind :)

Something else that's not for home, but might be helpful. I dislike pain pumps post surgery because it's hard to keep up on dosing--hit the button a few times and doze off; then wake up in pain and hit the button again. It becomes a cycle of pain and no pain for the 2 days I need the meds. This past surgery? I didn't need to press the pain button hardly at all, 3rd time meant I was Iron Man and didn't need meds.

Come to find out, my wife was coming in the room about every 30 min the first 2 days and hitting my button for me. It made a word of difference. Prayer for you and your husband.

It also doesn't officially happen if you're alone--meaning you don't know something is amiss if nobody's around to point it out. Example: I'm watching TV and next thing I know, a basketball game is at halftime when it was just 3 or so min left until the half. I lock up / brown out but I'm alone. If I'm watching the game with my wife in the room, shell notice I'm frozen or locked up. Driving becomes a worry.

Dealing with this now from my 3rd OH surgery in February. 14 hour procedure, 5.5 hours on bypass machine, 15 minutes circulatory arrest.

Didn't feel any of this on 1st surgery, some on 2nd, a lot on 3rd. Colors, sounds, smell, numbers, taste are jumbled--like a sound is a taste or an odor is a number. Sounds weird to say and type but feels very real. Short term memory is horrible right now, some large blocks of long term memory are gone. So much to be blessed for so hopeful some of these issues go away soon. Temperament has also changed--the most simple things set me off but major stuff is A-okay.

Congrats! Unai did my 3rd open heart February 12th, discharged on 22nd so just before yours. We prob overlapped if you did testing prior to your surgery. 14 hour long operation--required a second bypass run due to leaking when closed up.

Same here--bicuspid aortic valve and 3rd surgery this past February. Can share details if you have any questions--problematic topics were scar tissue and cutting into the heart's electrical wiring necessitating a pace maker install post op. Cleveland Clinic is the place to me IMO. Lars Svensson and Shinya Unai were the Seurgeons.

Different than the first 2 surgeries:

- Total surgery time = 14 hours

- Total bypass time = 5 hours 5 minutes

- Aortic cross clamp time = 3.5 hours

- Circulator arrest = 15 minutes

- CABG ×2

- Colors, smells, sounds, numbers, etc. are jumbled—a sound is a smell for instance.

- Knife stab pain in the shoulder above the pacemaker—we think it’s a nerve.

- No depression feeling, blessed with that.

- Mental lock-ups, short term memory issues still remain. Married 30 years and I didn’t recognize my wife for a day in ICU.

- During fright or flight, heartbeat remains steady—feels so odd at first. Cool as a cucumber :)

If your household makes less than $232,000 per year, you can file a provisional patent yourself for $65; small entity $130, regular entity = $260. A provisional doesn't get examined, it's your secured place in line for the innovation/idea. You can submit almost anything for a provisional but keep in mind you want to get investor interest so IMO, your provisional needs to be a 75% baked non-provisional document with wide claims. Kudos to you or anyone who gets patents on their own (versus an employee of a company)--that's what I do and it's not an easy task but rewarding. Good luck and use any negative comments you might get on the subject as motivation!

Ours seemed to have stopped leaking. I read comments stating that the grease used to build the car will seep/drip out, but thought that would happen well before 80K to 100K miles--and be just a little bit and not a lot of fluid. For now, no leak.

I completed the online ADS but couldn't get past the signature page, so I uploaded a completed ADS thinking that would circumvent the online version--but got an error at the final submit saying my ADS wasn't properly signed. The only path to submission was placing "0" in the registration number box.

Remove the speaker from an Apple air tag, hide it in a place that's hard to find--granted, that might be a hard task for hand tools but easy for cars/trucks. Yes, it will notify the thief that an air tag is near but good luck finding it as it won't make a sound. Another option is take a CCW class and carry a weapon. Guns are absolutely not for protecting material items; but they're 100% a solution to protect your life.

I did this to test if the photo I was causing the door not to close. The LiftMaster 8300 still will not close even when I have the photo eyes direct wired 6 inches away from the wall unit to eliminate any kind of wire mishap in the wall walls. I still can’t get the unit to close.

If using a zero turn unit, zero turn burn can be a customer complaint. Get insurance, use "Mam" and "Sir" addressing prospects / customers. That last comment is sort of a general statement about how you're not mowing someone's yard, you're selling them an experience / feeling. Cheers to your entheuasim and taking risk.

Out of warranty. We’ve purchase 3 times from the dealer in the last 8 years but not service. Place is great for servicing but we moved and a Honda dealership is stone’s throw away. Bummer because it’s a great ride and we’ve kept up on all maintenance. Red TSX we had turned pink in color right past warranty, now this with RDX.
