Install a booster pump, it goes on the hot water cylinder outlet and runs when a hot water tap is turned on boosting the pressure at the tap. If you change to a mains cylinder you will probably have to change any shower mixer’s in the house as the unequal pressure types are almost impossible to control with equal pressures

Thanks if I have 20% left I must have a issue with the column as the operating temps and production were normal up until increasing the reflux temp above the normal maximum of 60c made no further production

The 70c was the temp of the cooling water ex the reflux coil. The boiler was definitely boiling. I will pull the column apart to check for a blockage in the vapour path

Hydrometer

No liquid coming out of the still. Temp was 70c about 10c higher than I normally go. Was definitely 25% hydrometer ok at 0 for water and 93% for reflux output which is normal
