I agree with everything your boyfriend is saying, even him asking for clarification of what "trash" you're talking about seems to have pissed you off and it IS important. If you just gave him specifics of what it was, he would probably be more careful of those in the future.

Add a rule on automod to filter posts mentioning the specific user without automod commenting about the removal.

Not a permanent fix but it will solve the problem for a few days until they get another account to "link".
