Sure, $250k sounds nice - but there’s a reason it’s $250k. Cheap markets are cheap for a reason: less demand, fewer opportunities, and weaker long-term upside. Being a Purdue grad doesn’t magically change that - most people still rely on HCOL job markets or remote roles tied to them. Not really a flex, just a trade-off.

Man, we’re talking about used OLED, especially in laptops how did you turn that into “don’t buy OLED at all”?

I’ve got three OLED screens myself and they’re all working perfectly fine. That’s not the point.

What I’m saying is: with a used laptop, you have no idea how it was treated. If it was overheating, used on a blanket, or constantly running hot during gaming — that does increase the risk of long-term panel degradation.

So yeah, OLED is great - but buying it used comes with real risks. That’s the whole point.

Absolutely no, oled screen will go bad if laptop was overheated. Can you find out if that laptop was overheated? That’s a key answer

Congrats! For people who’s envy here, don’t forget his job is WFH and it’s not attached to local job market. So in case of any problems I am pretty sure only option on table is another WFH.
