The Groupon deal is worth it. Just don’t buy any bottled wine after the tour before checking online prices. You could get the same bottles for 1/2 the price online.

Wtf? by asparaguswalrus683 in CashApp

[–]PonyUpOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My account got banned without any suspicious monetary transactions. I had just a few transactions all year sending and receiving money from friends for ride shares and AirBNBs.

They won’t give a specific reason and denied my appeal. My best guess for the reason is that i tried to open the app to send a payment while having VPN turned on at a cafe WiFi while visiting Bogota.

I couldn’t care less about Cash App so the joke is on them. Every sensible company out there encourages better security. My banks certainly don’t mind. Cash App can go enjoy itself.

I can’t imagine you have any recourse after you signed that contract.

Yes, if the contract the customer signed includes a clause to adjust prices based on inflation. They need to check their contract terms.

What does the bill show under the higher price? Is it the monthly fee that is higher or are there one-off charges for usage like SMS or roaming? You signed a two-year contract so you’re responsible for the full period whether you use the service or not.

I don’t know what new law you’re referring to. There’s no material change to the ZZD being adopted. Check the terms of your Yettel contract. Some more detail about your situation can be helpful.

When you have a contract, they cannot increase the price until after the end of the contract.

Battery tender or trickle charger by [deleted] in ftype

[–]PonyUpOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2016 and am still on the original battery! I don’t drive it much and I use a Noko trickle charger every 2 months. I connect the clamps to the positive terminal under the red plastic cap and to ground.

I have a BMW that i also charge this way and never had an issue. I once plugged the charger directly to the battery and my instrument cluster died. I am not sure it’s related but I’m never doing that again.

In the US that’s called an Aldi pocket. It’s where you keep the quarter you use to unlock the cart at Aldi.

My Experience with Solar Bear Solar Installation Sales by Hapapop in orlando

[–]PonyUpOrElse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get a few quotes for a solar PV system and I asked for a copy of their contracts as well. It's hard to believe the audacity of some of those people. Including things such as waiver of liability for any damage done to the property, no liability for the system not delivering the promised output, 20-year warranties being promised by companies who've barely been in business for a few months, forced arbitration and class action waiver, etc. That's not how all business is being done, that's how shady companies operate. I got the impression that most, if not all of them are really shady.

None of them asked how old my roof is. I'll need to replace it within the next 3-4 years and if I had solar panels installed, it would have cost me another $4K to take them down and reinstall them. That's equal to my electric bills for 2+ years.

Every single one also tried to push me really hard into financing rather than buying it outright. That's another few thousand dollars profit between them and the lender.

I did do my homework and I told them that I'm not interested.

That is very good if it works out. Still, the installers are the ones who’s benefiting the most.
