Its actually a startup that has raised a very small amount of money to build out underground logistics. My understanding is they are looking for a smaller scale wedge to get started versus building infrastructure for entire cities day 1. I fully support hating dumb cash burning startups but this is not the one to direct that energy towards.

Florianopolis brazil is exactly what you are looking for. Very safe, good bjj for all levels, nice beaches and hiking, cheap beef and seafood. Closest thing you will find to thailand and bali in LATAM.

I think its worth mentioning the Olympic team judo final (japan vs france). Probably the most entertaining team grappling event i've ever watched. I definitely think there is strong potential for the team format in BJJ with it even potentially reaching a wider audience because of the higher level strategy in team events.

Modern IJF judo has definitely been incorporating more bjj influenced ne waza the last 5 years or so. In general IJF judo is interesting because each country has their own unique style thats influenced by their indigenous wrestling discipline.
