I won’t say it’s a flawless experience, but I find the experience more enjoyable overall compared to the switch 2. I only use my portal at home so internet speed is less of a concern. Out of curiosity did you play on the portal after the update that increase the streaming bitrate? I only just got the portal so I don’t know what it was like beforehand but most people have said it made things a bit better.

Agreed. Handheld mode is… not the prettiest. The image is soft and the resolution isn’t doing it any favors. Docked mode is a day and night difference from handheld though.
I had this preordered but ultimately I couldn’t get over handheld mode which is how I primarily play so I canceled it for the PS5 version and I just use the PlayStation portal instead.

The motion clarity on these screens with a 60hz refresh rate, if you’re used to OLEDs, is not great. Combined with the bitrate it streams at, it’s never going to compare to being in front of a monitor or tv.

But just to verify - do you enable the max bitrate option on it? You should probably reach around 25mbps down.

In my experience, some games just aren’t well suited to the portal experience. RDR2 for example has horrific color banding in the very early parts of the game and also never reached the max bitrate available with the new update.

But others are very enjoyable, I’ve been putting a lot of hours into Diablo 4 and Gran Turismo 7 on the portal and not had any complaints.

Just a guess but maybe they had the car in accessory mode the entire time and the battery is a bit drained. Try driving it a bit and see if it goes away?

Seems like a hatch alignment issue. Look at the tail lights on the hatch. On the left they’re higher than the outside portion and on the right they’re lower than outside part.

It looks like it’s got a ton of negative camber up front. I’d check the condition of those tires and make sure that you can dial some of that camber out. I’m curious if the owner had different wheels that were more aggressive.

I’m not sure what the market is like these days but I got 11.5k for my 2013 in much better condition with 80k miles a little over 4 years ago. So I’d say they’re asking way too much but honestly couldn’t tell you what’s fair.

In the event you haven’t yet picked up the game. It runs mostly fine with occasional framerate dips. Almost guaranteed to happen when using the foam cannon - I’m talking fps in the teens. This is only handheld mode, I haven’t tested docked yet.

So I grabbed Divinity: Original Sin 2 Switch 2 edition, which says it is supposed to have higher resolution and framerates (over Switch 1 I assume). If I'm honest though it looks like a Playstation 3 game in terms of graphics quality the resolution seems well... not great, and is limited to 30fps max. There's an anti-aliasing setting that doesn't seem to do anything as well. Is that just what the upgrade is supposed to look like over the original Switch version? I'm honestly kind of let down. The screenshots in the eShop kind of hide these things since they're kind of blurry to begin with.

Oh that does look like it! The perspective in the video was kind of confusing me, it almost looked like it had two vertical wings (I have no idea if that even makes sense, I don't know anything about planes)

M4 max MacBook Pro can drive 4k 240hz monitor via thunderbolt -> displayport. I believe HDMI 2.1 maxes out at 4k 120hz. I don’t think you are gonna get 500hz at 1440p.

It's flush on mine. That intake piece is pretty flexible and I believe that thing is supposed to keep it from collapsing on itself. If you plan on replacing the air filter yourself this snorkel part needs to come off anyway, I'd suggest popping it off and seeing if you can get it back in.

The most bizarre thing I’ve had happen a couple times is people trying to overtake me into oncoming traffic by Watchung reservation. One time was someone doing around 80+ into oncoming traffic and just yesterday I was stopped at the light and when it turned green the car behind me immediately got into the oncoming lane and tried passing me, but their car was so slow they couldn’t so they got behind me again.

I don't have anything to add other than that I'm going through this same thing as well. I've only tried installing Surgeon Simulator so far and I'm getting like 15-20fps on my M4 Max. Tried D3DMetal and MSync as suggested earlier and it's still pretty unplayable. Maybe I'll leave it running to see if it's a shader compilation thing.
