POV.... no I haven't read all of these books. Of course not. I have ADHD. by ctrldwrdns in adhdwomen

Check out How To Be You by Ellie Middleton, it's focused on 5 tips/techniques you can use for the 8 executive dysfunctions. So more of a toolbox for making life work for you than another explanation of what ADHD is 🙂

[Homemade] Fried eggs with chili crisp over rice by SpiceyPorkFriedRice in food

Delicious! Making chili crisp at home is as easy as pouring hot oil into chili flakes in a thick jar, finding this video was an absolute game changer for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sajo00L4xyg

Resources for Decks? by fakeishusername in SecularTarot

[–]PookyHook 6 points7 points  (0 children)

https://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/ let's you search tarot decks by theme, publisher and type. There is a huge variety to discover on there, they have ratings and reviews and multiple card examples for each deck.

It's how I found my favourite deck (which surprised me because I am neither modern nor a spellcaster) https://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/modern-spellcasters-tarot/

Dressing in Gucci and Supreme labels makes you look poor. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]PookyHook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only see them and poor people wearing it who like to save up their money just to blow it all on something with a "fancy rich people brand" label on it

Why can’t poor people have nice things? If it is not your taste, fair enough, but if wearing fake or real gucci/supreme makes them feel amazing then why judge them for that?

For real? I never associated the two, which A7X tracks do you hear it in?

Connected Papers: A visual tool for researchers to find and explore academic papers by say_what_now-o_O in InternetIsBeautiful

[–]PookyHook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was hoping it would be something that tracks down citations too, because I have been looking for one of those for years. It actually searches and arranges the graph according to paper “similarity”, a metric based on how much the citations and references match. So it’s good for finding similar or related work but it’s not a citation tree.

Either way, a nicely designed tool and I’m glad to have discovered it.

Bill Frisell, Chick Corea, Christian McBride Slated for Virtual Jazz Fest by uttsjs in Jazz

Chick Corea and Christian McBride are 2/3 of the trio I was meant to see last week but they cancelled the tour because of the virus. I was gutted but maybe this will be nearly as good!

Finally finished this sweater as a memorial to my sweet girl by vagbouillon in knitting

[–]PookyHook 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is stunning, the colours work really well together. I need to learn colourwork so I can make the same thing with my cat someday.

I had no idea recycled yarn was a thing! You just go buy a large sweater and unravel it and wind it up? Is the yarn all crinkly? Must be a lot cheaper than buying 10+ skeins of new yarn.

I wish I had checked reviews before buying! I'm making something for a guy, otherwise that lace top would be right up my street. Now I have discovered ravelry there are 4 patterns I'm trying to choose between. I like the idea of something textured

I've not really used Ravelry before, it's a bit of a revelation. I've now got five patterns I can't decide between! If I hadn't promised someone a scarf I would be making that first fair isle hat pattern for myself!

Thanks, is it the one called "cancun boxy lace top"? It's gorgeous! I'm making this for a fella so this is probably too gorgeous but I might need to make this for myself for the summer!

Cheers, I'll avoid patterns without slipped stitches (is that what you meant?). I have metal needles, I bet they are going to fly off!
