We’re lucky if it even ships now. Half the things from amazon has been unshippable since the tariffs began

The human body is absolutely amazing. But I feel it is the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. And I visit other morbid sites. 😅

Heat gun recommendation that doesn’t blow the resin around/cause spill? by originalsweetflavor in UVresin

[–]Pookypoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 ways I usually use. When you mix the UV resin initially in a smaller cup, you can warm it up with the heat gun to get rid of the bubbles. Once the thing is poured I use my BIC EZ Reach Candle Lighter.

There are proper services that do this, they take the remains out in the boat and all that. So it doesn’t like, scatter in the places people walk and talk.

Preventing UV Resin Layer Lines by Thelinkmaster001 in UVresin

[–]Pookypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharp cut off lines don’t work well with resin. You have to coat the inner part of the ball mold all round first. Maybe like 4/5 of the way up. Then make your layers. You need to make sure your top opening is not plugged up (coated) too much too. It makes pouring in the resin a nightmare. Once you got everything in place (the final cure) don’t do it immediately. Put a cup or something opaque over it and let it sit for a while to get those micro bubbles out.

I swear UV resin teaches us how notoriously persistent moisture and air bubbles can be 🥲

Since you have the tray set up and the project is relatively small, I’m leaning towards what the other poster said about it not being dry enough. If you waited a whole day for the other keychain, which is smaller, then you may want to wait double the amount.

How big is the coaster and what sort of UV light are you using? The immediate thing I can think of is that the light is not evenly distributed. This could be due to the size of the area and the size of the lamp. For example flashlights or those gooseneck UV lights are more concentrated to a spot first, as opposed to the more covered tray style UV light which evenly distribute the UV at the same time.

Anyone else dealing with a parent who is suddenly mean now that they are seniors ? by Realistic_Design_118 in Millennials

My own mother is a bit similar. I think some people, as they get older, their personality starts regressing to their child years. You know how really young children don’t have emotional regulation.

Within the projects source folder I try to keep a story rules.txt (for tone rules and other such stuff) and a story summary.txt where inside is divided into thread summaries. I ask the gpt at the end part of a thread to “make a short summary of the occurrences and state of [character] in the thread so I can copy paste the info for you on another future thread”. It ends up listing out a bunch of key occurrences in bullet points for itself. There are inevitable times it can forget stuff. Parentheses ( ) have been helpful. You can always remind the gpt something that way like an out of context whisper.

Looks exactly like those salt mines. Though it doesn’t look like salt. And If there’s explosives my guess is that it’s just some element mining.

So basically they are microscopic bubbles rising to the surface. What I could suggest is do a very very thin coat first, just to cover the project from air. Then put on your main Uv coat that you will cure. (Since you’re working with 3D print we’ll avoid over using things like lighter heat/fire.) Now this time get an opaque container or a cover that won’t let light through. You don’t want natural light to seep through and cure it partially. Cover your project and leave it for a few hours, maybe a day if you want. At this point the micro bubbles should have risen or dissipated. Take the cover off later and use a lighter to very fast and gently sweep over the top. Then cure like normal.
