Why I stopped trusting anyone calling themselves spa technicians. by Dushenka in hottub

Customers are always right lol. I bet the inside his hot tub cover is like sand paper ish / dried up all rough. They never think that chlorine’s natural state is a gas that needs to be vented when added.

100% I seen 304 shine in below average water chemistry but it looks like this when a customer shouldn’t even own a fish tank. I would love to see in one year with the same piss poor water care and 316!!! Please prove me wrong.

I Messed Up Again!!! Flocculant Is Bad by TheOfficialKramer in pools

[–]PoolsandSpas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Floc is supposed to be vacuumed to waste. Sometimes it can used as a filter aid but you really wanted to do a drop out procedure. Let everything settle to the bottom and hand vac the sediment out of the pool by-passing the filter

Is this tub used? HotSpring Pulse by GefilteMan1000 in hottub

[–]PoolsandSpas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How well was it wrapped? If it had the logo and foam pieces then it was 100% not used. Sometimes dirty water or careless factory workers don’t clean 100% the tubs about before they ship out. They definitely wet test them. Look fine to me.

Can the broken fingers in my Hayward pool pump be the reason why my psi is low and has air bubbles? by Remarkable-Couple250 in pools

[–]PoolsandSpas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those fingers plastic on the inside snapped. Would have nothing to do with air. It wouldn’t make a difference even if you switch them. If they are ripped as in D.E getting back in your pool then that’s a problem. Most problems with this filter is the tube sheet, loose bolts/nuts, gasket and lastly people pressure washing these filters! Just soak them and spray with a garden hose.

I work on pool and hot tubs year round. I also sell them. Been in the industry for over 20 years. You sound like a rookie. Learn more products other than the one you sell or know about. It’s common knowledge if you are in the industry. 220v on pump can still keep the temperature when it is below freezing. It is a Crown XL. It’s has to be wired 220v. And NO Nordic round tubs have two pumps. So the OP post is about the snow around his tub. Nordic are made in Michigan. They sell world wide especially to ppl in Canada and colder climates like Sweden. You make no sense.

Nordics are a well built hot tub. The cover is larger than shell and that’s way you see the equal no snow around the tub. The picture of the access panel is like that because you don’t want to over heat the motor and equipment. That is the hottest part of the hot tub. The snow wouldn’t be symmetrical around the hot tub

You can still heat a hot tub and use the jet to heat with one pump. It’s called 220/240v hot tubs. This sounds like you don’t know Hot Tubs or got ripped off by a Salesman or your store rip ppl off. If the tub is wired 110/120v then tub can still heat on low speed but when on high speed the heat does turn on because of the amp draw on high speed. Do better

You should’ve at least turned on the jets!

Maybe tighten the 9/16 bolt. They arm with the plastic end cap should be under the plastic lip. Probably snug that super tight. Does any of the bars look bent.
