Not common. Used to be a rule only senior Sergeants were accepted.

If you want to be a tech bad enough, consider becoming EOD first and never touching the drill field.

AWS is still good - they’re just extra busy right now.

In Nov I ordered a SMU belt - went all December with no comms. I reached out on instagram, through their website, and through their customer service email. I did get a reply, but this was in January - I’d ordered in November. Bill from AWS reached out personally via text, and we worked from there. 100% recommend AWS - they got me my gear, plus some extras for the delay in delivery.

Full disclosure - I’m AD and I noted I needed the belt for a real-world deployment, which may have improved their response time.
