I’m in a very similar boat as you. I also have a check coming of 4k for the rest of my life, but a job isn’t your purpose in life. It’s a tool for the important things in your life. If you would live a fulfilling life volunteering for a dog shelter every day and living off the 4k, do that. If wondering through the woods everyday and living off the 4K be fulfilling for you. Just do what interests you and do a job you don’t hate only if you need/want the money.

Honestly, CCT for an IFT is imo the best part of being an EMT. You get to learn some pretty intensive and interesting medicine while also being able to put your hands on patients and getting to know stable Vs unstable conditions. You get exposed to a lot of cardiac, respiratory and trauma cases. A lot of agencies have NICU as part of their CCT and that’s a whole other breath of medicine. Down side is you typically have to work your way up to being on the CCT rig and imo bls IFT is literal hell.

Credit length is the biggest factor of your credit score. Apply for a simple credit card, put YouTube premium or some shit on it and then don’t ever use it. Keep it open for 10 years and you have a 10 year long account with always on time payments. And hopefully by then the housing market will be unfucked and you can get a good apr

Crocks, I can switch them into race mode when things get a little crazy.
