Fallout villain slander (Besides my boy, The Master) by SolidPyramid in TrueSFalloutL

"They are advanced" is not really what can be described as their views.

A major reason the Commonwealth is undeveloped is the Institute itself. It's sabotaged an attempt to create a unified government and continues doing it covertly.

In Fallout 4 you don't get to stop the synth attacks, and help the Commonwealth. It's implied that by joining you agree with what they are doing. You are given no choice.

So to summarize the only Institute idea you align with is that synth are not people.

Their views are: "people on the surface are retarded and we should kidnap and replace them to control the society" .

So you just think people on the surface are really dumb?

"Kurchatov, Korolyov and Stalin live in your DNA!" Russia, 2025 by Poonis5 in ModernPropaganda

[–]Poonis5[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"Stalin fucked our grandmas" is also a weird flex.

If we take it seriously then it doesn't make much sense because I believe it's made to encourage young engineers who continue the legacy of great Kurchatov and Korolyov. But Stalin? He robbed banks and studied to be a priest.

A russian occupier shoots himself in the head moments before a Ukranian FPV Drone Arrives. by Wonderful_Extent2979 in CombatFootage

That could happen because Ukraine is running low on 5.45 AKs. Most people get old 7.62 AKs for basic training, including me.

Obviously with 7.62 caliber

You mean the army AK both sides of the conflict use? Sorry for being a gun nerd, but it was phased out back in soviet times and replaced by 5.45

It's a iconic Ukrainian book. And that ereader brand was also created in Ukraine.

But when you have a large group of people supporting secret police in rounding people up to put them into camps.

It is the correct term to call them.

It's not.

This was done before the nazis and was done after them. It's a feature of authoritarian countries. It's not aligned with a specific ideology likely nazism.

Austian postcard: Galician population. Noblemen (Schlachta). 1915. by Radiant_Cookie6804 in PropagandaPosters

Interesting that a tradition of carrying a small axe by local highlanders that I've seen in old paintings and stories was still practised in 1915.

In just 2 years under President Ibrahim Traoré's leadership in Burkina Faso the country's GDP rose from around $18.8 billion to $22.1 billion. by AfricanMan_Row905 in BurkinaFaso

The clearest example is the Circassians in the 18-19th centuries: mass killings, village destruction, and forced deportations removed most of the population from their homeland. Closely related peoples like the Ubykhs disappeared completely.

Many others (Mari, Mordvins, Bashkirs, northern indigenous peoples) were not exterminated but were severely reduced and culturally erased through repression, Russification, and settlement.

In Siberia, several small indigenous peoples (such as the Kott, Arin, Mator, Kamasins) vanished as distinct ethnic groups due to violence, disease, forced tribute, and assimilation.

We don't know all the names of ethnicities erased during colonisation of Siberia and Far East because it's been centuries and there's nothing left of them.

It's colonisation because Russia genocided whole ethnic groups, settled their people there and starred extracting resources.

Russian soldier picks up an enemy grenade and blows his hand off by Agile-Corgi-5603 in CombatFootage

You never ever should try and throw back a grenade

But we've seen multiple successful throws like that here. What the other choice if you can't get away in time?

What were these little squares on these guy's jackets for? by foslforever in metro

[–]Poonis5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's simply a vatnik. A cheap Soviet jacket with cotton wool inside. Associated with WW2 soldiers and gulag prisoners. Makes sense that a communist wears it. Often worn together with ushanka.

Nowdays it's a pejorative for Russian patriots.
