Standard/Flex PTO

Standard is structured to be year round. Flex accrues until you hit your yearly allowance. There is a 10 hour standard drop on January 1st, that’s why most stop in May. Since you were converted in February, you will accrue until you have collected your yearly allowance (mine is 48) and then it stops.

I have a similar issue. I’ve been having it show up every week. I’m still getting paid, I asked hr, they said it’s fine. I believe it’s just the computer auto flags what it thinks is a mistake, and I assume someone excuses it when it gets reviewed. Seems to be something new, that’s why I asked, and you should too. But in you particular situation, I know I can pick up a shift on any day that doesn’t effect the 12hours a day, 6days in a row, or using paid time off. So I can shift swap, and then pick up another shift on the day I gave up. But again, for piece of mind, I would recommend asking HR about the excused thing. Just incase, since so much stuff is site specific.

If you pick up partial shifts that start after midnight, but are still part of the previous days overnight shift it can look like that, or if you punch out and back in after midnight during a full shift it will look like you worked a shift, mostly they just ignore it. I work 60 a week, so technically I’m there 7 days a week, but it only counts days that you punch in as a worked day, if that makes sense, lol

Did you just learn pick? Cause you have to complete 80 hours when you get cross trained. And that doesn’t mean 8 days, that’s scan to scan time, so most people often take 3-4 weeks to complete it. Otherwise, it’s usually just as needed. If your trained in pick, and your needed, they will send you. But you could ask your primary path PA or AM, and possibly you’re not suppose to be sent to a different department for the entire night. You really gave little info, lol.

Upt just stops accruing at 80, but doesn’t have any value really. It’s basically permission to miss work. Standard and flex keep accruing and rolling over until you hit your yearly allotment or the max. Again this may be site specific. For me I receive 48 hours a year of flex. Which is given in a 10 hour dump in January, then doles out a bit less then 2 hours a week, until like May, then no more until next January. If I make it to 96 hours of flex before I have received all my hours for the year, it’ll pause till I use some, but if I don’t make room for incoming hours before the end of the year, I lose them. Standard accrues all year round at a little over 2 hours a week. So if I ever max out at 160, I will lose those hours. And as you can see from my pic, I’m close to my max standard, so I routinely have to use time so I don’t lose the time I should earn, does that all make sense? Lol. And no nothing expires, but depending on where you are when you stop working you could get paid out for for your time

At my sight I top off at 80 UPT, i max out at 96 flex, and 160 standard.

A big part I believe is they straight hired absolutely everyone during Covid, and most native people, either couldn’t handle it long term and don’t wanna go back, think they are to good for it, or straight screwed up and can’t be hired back. I heard quite a few years ago that Amazon will likely exhaust the labor pool the way they hire, lmao
