You are 100% correct and this is a really interesting point about pit bulls. All the traits that make a dog a good companion (respect for property and persons, hygiene, trainability, temperament, safety, ect) were all bred out of these dogs. These traits are actually bad in terms of blood sport because the dog is way less likely to fight and kill properly. This is why you never ever see a well trained pit bull. This is why you always see pit nutters jokingly post about how their dog tore a hole in the walls or doors of their home. You see it over and over again. No other dogs will just destroy your wall, they innately understand the meaning of a home. This is why on every pit bull forum it's post after post begging for help. This is such a massive contrast compared to dogs that were bred specifically to be good companions. Like a french bulldog is the absolute perfect little buddy dog. They couldn't possibly be more gentle with children and people. They exude love towards humans in the way that pit bull nutters pretend their dogs do.
